I think Italian FA rules don’t allow players with a pacemaker so he had to be released allowing him to become a free agent. I guess we don’t have such a rule here.
I’m sure all parties will have done due diligence & thorough medicals and ultimately it’s Eriksen’s decision to continue playing and I would imagine Brentford will have covered all bases. If they can’t get insurance i would expect a stipulation on signing that should he be unable to continue playing at any point the contract terminates at that moment. |  | | |

You don't need to play in the Prem to play football, you can do that with your kids down the park. Or for non-league.
By putting your health at risk in an elite league could be about trying to get to play for Denmark again. Be interesting to see if they pick him for international games. |  |

I suspect the technology is quite advanced and if nothing else, it allows him to try. For that, both he and BFC should be applauded.
He will literally be monitored up the wazoo and no doubt a mere hint of an issue and it would be curtains.

As a Danish Ranger it pisses me off to see him at Brentfart. I know how good he is. But I guess that he was looking for a safe and comfortable environment with a lot of other Danes and guaranteed playing time on the pitch. He is basically a quite shy and introvert person and he is definitely not there because of the money/last pay cheque. His main goal is to get fit for the World cup and therefore he has chosen the Bees. As far as I know his contract is short term and can be cancelled with short notice. If he does well he will probably move on to another bigger club. |  | | |
