Lee Hoos? 21:39 - Mar 18 with 5958 viewsHammersmithR

Anyone else heard he’s off in the summer? Apparently he’s going back to the States to prepare the country for the World Cup. I can’t get my head round how Reuben and Amit are happy to keep Lee and Les in their jobs whilst spunging 2 million every month to run the club! It’s insane. We were discussing today what qualifications Ferdinand had to get the role of Director of Football. He must be taking home 500k a year.

Can Clive commission the production of some blue and white bunting if there's any truth in this at all? It's clear the guy hasn't been doing his job even half-properly/heartedly for as long as I can remember to say the least. A great opportunity, if true, for the owners to bring in someone who actually cares about LR, will maximise our revenue streams, can manage to oversee our box office with a soupcon of competence, and start the fightback against the club's culture of complacency, contempt and mediocrity.

WIth any luck, we can persuade him to get on the plane by Easter.

Awful news , how will we move forward without Lee ?

I assume that the 2m a month would have been agreed with the owners, not sprung upon them. I know he's not everyone's cup of tea but I don't see changing LH as making a massive difference. I've said it before but really it comes down to what return we're getting for that investment and under Les it's been poor recently.

Before we all shit on Lee Hoos, it should be noted we are his first failure after a long list of successes.

It’s us (the club) not him.

Rueben: Hoo's, what have you done with my club?
Hoo's: It's not my fault.
Rueben: Who's fault is it then.
Hoo's: He fell asleep.
Rueben: Who fell asleep?!
Hoo's: It is my fault.
Rueben. Ferdinand! I knew it!
Hoo's: Don't blame him. It's not really his fault.
Rueben: Well Hoo's fault is it then? Dennis Compton?

I am not sure but I think both Les and Lee will be leaving at the end of the season.

Not obviously heard anything but just a hunch.

Ie interviews with both of them seem to suggest they both very on edge about the whole situation, and I think both believe the owners have already decided that it's time for a change.

I think this will happen even if our form improves. I believe the decisions have already been made, no matter what !!

I agree have a feeling that Lee and Les will be moving on along with Ramsey and others who have been hanging around the club too long, when they should have gone ages ago.

Lee Hoos going won't make a blind bit of difference.

This club is toxic. It has only one aim in life, promotion to the Premier League, and that's it.

And when the club fails in that one and only ambition, it's pretty damned miserable 99.9% of the time.

The club needs new direction. The direction it has taken for more than a decade now, is unsustainable.

Fans are at the lowest ebb, I have seen in years.

I think it will be his choice to go, rather than the club pushing him. We are a basket case and he probably thinks sod it I cant do anymore.

As others have said if he does go it will have zero positive affect on the club.

I'm undecided with Hoos.
In some ways it could be said he's too good at his job of cutting the expenses. He's basically done what was asked. We're now a club with zero spending power. I think it's the football side that has done him. Yes reduce the wage bill but get player replacements that are fit for purpose.
On the otherhand he must have agreed the contracts of loan players, the Warburton ending season where we did overspend. So he's not completely innocent in this shambles we're seeing atm.
I think under a different DoF Hoos would be OK. Still keep the purse stings tight but I'd like to think recruitment ,scouting and coaching would be better.
But then maybe the whole thing needs replacing?

Yeah, they're thick as thieves. The sight of them both sitting there in the posh seats like Roman emperors while 'their' team is serving up dross like yesterday is really something. I suppose at least they have the front to show up - I'd be embarrassed to show my face at the moment. Yeah, that team on the pitch booting the ball long aimlessly and hurtling towards League 1 is what eight years of our highly remunerated work gets you.

Someone let me know when he goes, I'll happily sign up for a job losing 2m of someone else's money every month on a six figure salary.

Lee Hoos? on 07:58 - Mar 19 with 3435 viewsTGRRRSSS

I can't remember how long Hoos has been at the club now but I have felt in the past few seasons all he ever really seems to do is be negative about the club and it's future - he might very well be correct in a lot of what he says but for me that's not what a CEO should be about the business he is running., for that reason alone it's time he left.

IN addition I think he's failed to grasp how to generate revenues and has presided over a stagnation of the supporter base and doing thinks like the extra tax to turn up on the day as opposed to same price for that is poor and greedy in my view.

Others may see it differently but it is probably time for a new direction anyway.

It’s been austerity park rangers under Hoo’s. Yes, the sensible option considering our financial situation, but it’s managed decline not building for the future.

Lee Hoos? on 08:21 - Mar 19 with 3333 viewsTGRRRSSS

Yes thats exactly it he's managed decline and tried to push this agenda whilst charging premier league prices and extra charges on top.

Managed Decline is precisely what he's done.

I have been a supporter of these guys, Hoos, Les, Ramsey etc BUT......sadly, they may have done their time at QPR. We cannot keep going on like we are - we are better than what we are now.

The issue is who do we replace them with??? It will not be easy.

I am very concerned what the 'money boys' will do - we are dead if they depart.

That's my worry as well although I'd have Jim Frayling back in place of Hoos but I'm not sure it's going to make much difference

Well the training ground is now completed and there is no sign of a new stadium so I'm assuming his job here is now completed in terms of what he can now do.

If he does go at the end of the season, I'd say his time with us overall has been a success.

He steadied the ship, took some difficult decisions, we reshaped the squad whilst hugely reducing the wage bill. We made two good managerial appointments (Warburton and he who shan't be named), and if we were having this discussion early October I think it would be different.

I think our recruitment overall during his period has been good.

Since October everything has been a disaster and it's all unravelled a bit and this will no doubt taint things.

I think the Ainsworth appointment, whilst popular, shows we may now have lost the identity / ethos / whatever we were trying to create and that's the reason I think it might be good to start afresh with a new DOF and CEO. I'd leave Ramsey where he is peronsally, he seems well regarded, and until we can get CAT 1 status, lots of our best players in the Academy will get pinched.

Sometimes you just need some fresh faces, and after this season there is probably no better time to change things.

HOOS doesn't really striked me as a CEO, more an Operational Director great at making things effecient etc, but I think he need someone alongside him as alluded to above more on the generating money side of things vs the cutting costs side (both of which have thir place).
