It was such an odd game, as you say in the report we were pretty bad first 25 mins or so,a second goal in that spell and it would have got very ugly but once we started passing forwards and scored there only looked one winner.
I thought Paul Smyth had a really good game on the left, some excellent defending and getting us higher up the pitch where the likes of Vale and Morgan could do some damage. The stats mob will see another game where he makes no crucial numbers but we don't win that game without him imo |  | | |

Agreed on Vale as MOTM just ahead of Edwards. Special mention though for Paul Smyth, it was his determined run and shot which led to the corner for the third goal. We all know he's not perfect but he tends to be a pain in the backside for the oppo, and he's so valuable for his defensive contributions. Given the choice he'd always start for me.
So yes, much joy in winning finally, and probably papering over the cracks, but IF we can go on a winning/unbeaten run then a top ten finish, amazingly, is still not totally impossible. I appreciate though that hardly anyone else will be as bad as Leicester. |  |

Thanks Clive - Great to read I was neither at the game or watched on the stream so I can't comment on the performance. Never in a million years did I see this coming and I'm absolutely delighted for the travelling faithful. It will certainly be a much happier household with my family and I will sleep much better for that win.
However whilst those three points keeps us well away from the dogfight and sailing in much calmer waters we should not forget the dross that has been served up recently. We need to find a solution as to why we yet again can capitulate so easily. | | | |

I have to say though Jordan Ayew absolutely offends me as a player. Someone who has completely forgotten the reasons he ever started playing football, clearly enjoys the footballer lifestyle and wants to do as little of the actual football as possible. A great report on a great day out.
I posted on Friday that this was my first away day since Leicester 2 years ago. I wasn't expecting a repeat of the scenes in March 2024, but the joy and relief was fantastic, especially as it was my son's birthday weekend - and the poor sod goes to a fair number of away games, including the shambolic displays at Derby and WBA.
With the losing run ended and the pressure relieved, let's hope we see some football in the remaining matches - and more of what Poku can do for us. |  |

It's a fair point about the away support but lest we forget we sold 9,000 tickets in an afternoon for West Ham. If we have some momentum and are looking upwards, we won't lack for support, including a load of new teenage/early twenties fans.

The fans have been kept in the dark on so many things, fed spin on so many issues, and forced to sit through dreadful games and some colossal defeats. It feels to me like it's Christian's club, Christian's project, and we're going to be told as little as possible. If we want to come along for the ride that's fine, but they don't want our engagement, input, opinion and they don't care what we think. I'm not surprised it's finally snapped some people.
I'm hoping the club see that they've literally halved their support in that fixture from March 2024 to March 2026 and reflect on that. Leicester one of the easiest trips to do as well.

I know there’s probably lots of reasons why the away attendance has gone down at Leicester in the last two years, expense being a big factor. But for me it’s the excitement of going away that has declined and meant I’ve gone to far fewer away games than in previous seasons. I want to really look forward to the away games but after being in the same division for so long it seems like we’re on a treadmill, constantly going to Preston, Bristol City, Coventry etc. that’s why the demand was so high for the West Ham game, at last somewhere new. It’ll be the same next year with a mad rush for Lincoln tickets. The other big reason is style of football, if we had a front foot attacking team you could really get behind there’d be more fans willing to go. Travelling miles to see a team packing the midfield just to get a point at best is hardly inspiring. | | | |

This is a big factor in me going less often at the moment - so far I've only done Preston and Leicester H and West Ham and Leicester A. At half-time last Wednesday I was going to write off the £90 I'd spent to go to Leicester. | |

Absolutely right. Going to Stoke, Oxford, Charlton, drawing 0-0, telling everybody what a fantastic result it was, the spin you see around it all on socials, it becomes really draining. And the Leicester tickets went on sale straight after that.
