The run we've been on is one of those where it always ends eventually, and for me in my location to do it against Leicester is perfect.
I have to say though Jordan Ayew absolutely offends me as a player. Someone who has completely forgotten the reasons he ever started playing football, clearly enjoys the footballer lifestyle and wants to do as little of the actual football as possible. We've had plenty of those over the years, the quickest he moved all game was when he got subbed off! |

We must not forget how poor this Leicester side is. In both games. If you want to find players more interested in the money and lifestyle, but barely bothered with the actual game, they were it.
As you say, once we equalised there was only ever going to be 1 winner. Even so, there was the odd poor performance from us. I thought Hayden was poor. Kone and Kolli struggled to get involved.
Let's see how we approach the season finale. IMHO, the next 4 are all winnable. It would be nice to see the team believing that. |  |

love Ipswich away, but the 12:30 KO means that you're not really doing much drinking pre match in Isaac at the Quays before the game, are you - it's straight to the ground give or take, and then after the game, season mercifully over, i'd probably just want to shlep back to London really, seems silly (to me) being on the piss after the game in Ipswich, so you're really only going to watch Ipswich lift a trophy, which i can do at home!

Sheff Wed apart, Oxford is the worst side in this Champ, they have no middle or attack.
Whereas Leicester has no defence or attack, so at least they have a chance with a midfield. So, they are the next worst.
Leicester will be back if they go down; they will have parachute payments and can use that to fund bridging loans to return. It will be the years after that if they do not get promoted that could force them into Sheff Wed land.
WBA have fallen hard after trying to be clever and hoovering up Swift and Wallace on frees but high wages. That expense with little sales has all gone down the swaney, and now they are left with a terrible team too. So, they could go down as well. Furlong was smart to get out of there; he knew.
Only 3 more pts to ensure safety now.

I know there’s probably lots of reasons why the away attendance has gone down at Leicester in the last two years, expense being a big factor. But for me it’s the excitement of going away that has declined and meant I’ve gone to far fewer away games than in previous seasons. I want to really look forward to the away games but after being in the same division for so long it seems like we’re on a treadmill, constantly going to Preston, Bristol City, Coventry etc. that’s why the demand was so high for the West Ham game, at last somewhere new. It’ll be the same next year with a mad rush for Lincoln tickets. The other big reason is style of football, if we had a front foot attacking team you could really get behind there’d be more fans willing to go. Travelling miles to see a team packing the midfield just to get a point at best is hardly inspiring. |
Cost is definitely a big factor - So much is going up....... I just got my council tax statement for next year up 5.2%. Watching the supermarket prices go up on a daily basis is also worrying. Then you look at fuel prices in the last fortnight something has to give.

The club needs to be very careful with all that crap about being a feeder club - the best way of getting young players in the shop window is by being successful. The two are not mutually exclusive; no one wants to buy Varane when he's unable to play six-yard passes no matter how many Guardian puff pieces they put out there.
Would usually go to Millwall but just can't be bothered seeing us play bridesmaid to another promotion contender. Will probably end up renewing my season ticket again at the last moment though. 
I suppose the message about cup games seems to have got through eventually as we definitely made an effort against West Ham. But next season don't throw away a game like we did against Plymouth. That was so bad on so many levels and displayed a real disregard to the kind of lunatics who head down to Plymouth midweek to follow the team - i.e. the most hardcore of our supporters. | | | |

In my view Leicester look like the Oxford team of last season and they stayed up so I suspect Rowett will just about keep Leicester up. I think their last game is against Blackburn.
What was good about Saturday is for once we scored either side of half time rather than conceding. But as reported it is papering over the cracks as for the opening 40 minutes I'm told we barely troubled the Leicester goal. I didn't see the game so a fair criticism of us or not? |  | | |

I think a lot of people feel that way but end up still going to games.
I don't currently have a ST but go to as many games I can. I've sworn never to go back so many times but somehow, still end up going even when the football is utter dross (which we have seen a lot of over the years).
I wonder if the home crowds are staying relatively buoyant largely because people go out of habit, or don't have anything else they would rather do. If home crowds remain undepleted I suspect the club will take zero notice of reducing away support. I wish I could say that would be at their peril, but I suspect that's not the case as they seem not to give a damn about the fans home or away and they will continue getting the Sky money no matter what.

Yeah defo - I thought long and hard about Leicester away but the shit served up by the manager and players recently I decided they didn't deserve me to spend what would of been north of £100. So I decided to watch my local non league team £10 entry and £4.90 for a fantastic pint of Guinness.
We will be going to Millwall though (subject to Sky) - Always enjoy making a day of that one with a visit to Borough Market beforehand. | | | |

I will probably renew just because it's cheaper if you attend enough games...and in the (unrealistic) fear that it's the season we finally click. Yes, I know. I didn't renew when Gareth was manager, so I do have a tipping point (and subsequently bought a half-season ticket when Marti took over).
There is that feeling when, even against your better judgement, you're looking forward to August, there's a blank league table and the season ahead seems full of many beautiful possibilities...and then you turn up for the first game of the season.  | | | |

Look I’d love to watch 1970 Brazil vs 2010 Barcelona every week, but this is the Championship.
As a great man once said, “Yeh’ve got teh feckin die fer three points at this level”….. that involves a little bit of nastiness and cynicism at times, especially on the road. Breaking up promising breakaways, letting your opponent know and even just making loads of tackles and one being accidentally late….. those were things massively missing for the previous four or five games.
It’s the current chestnut but proves again we need a mixed squad with gnarly old pro’s playing their part and young ones also having some nads about them.
We still need another win to tip the maths of probability in our favour but beat Pompey and I’d say all should be well on the safety front.
Just watched a bit of Pompey playing this evening and Derby beat them in second gear with Pompey incapable of breaking down the lowest of blocks all second half. Strange as Pompey look weak at the back so I’d hope we go at them more than Derby did and test a very nervous looking keeper.
I’m looking for a minimum of 2 more wins and two draws but that is scandalous when you look at where we were 92 mins into that Wrexham game.
