Gutted about this. Seen The Prodigy play loads of times over the last 30 years in numerous locations with some good friends: always a great show and have some fantastic memories. Keith never seemed to age and was always on his game. RIP you legend.

Music for the Jilted Generation, a stonewall classic. Saw them loads back in the day including a particularly messy and malevolent gig in Ilford, great days. RIP Keith.

I didnt see this thread. I put some tunes up on the frankie one. Yeh just such a shame. The guy seemed so full of life and always up for it.! To take your own life while seemingly living life to the full is so sad. I can't quite comprehend it. What is it with male suicide ?

Poor guy - suicide is done when there seems to be no way out of a hellish existence
Obviously a very talented man - but very sad - wish us men chatted a bit more about our emotions sometimes - ie instead of covering things up and appearing strong..
I know, friend of mine hung himself 6 months ago, successful business, larger than life, played sax in a band, we all loved him, great wife, 2 great kids... still reeling...

Saw the Prodigy only once at the Essential Festival 96 in Brighton. Thought they were dire. Fluke, Dreadzone and Underworld blew them offstage and they were the headline act.

Very sad. Prodigy were a band the likes of which we are unlikely to see again: born out of a unique era and somehow able to straddle both mainstream commercial success and underground authenticity. Keith Flint was perfect in the role of Middle England's Fears Made Flesh. As already said Jilted Generation is a genuine classic, and a time capsule for that period.
