To answer the original poster “everything” you must be pretty obtuse not to recognise the similarities between a stricken aircraft struggling to stay in the air with lots of damaged parts and our underperforming mostly damaged team at the moment. Clive, your recent work is worthy of awards, genuine LOL moments amongst the hard hitting truth.

Well if you couldn't work out that metaphor, perhaps it explains why you would come on here and question the writing (which is superb) of someone who entertains tens of thousands of us. For virtually nothing.

I wasn't aware of the story of that flight I have to say, and without knowing how it eventually turned out and how Clive left it at the beginning of his piece I fully expected the plane to have plummeted out of the sky into the Atlantic killing everyone on board.
It sounded like an absolute miracle that the pilot actually managed to glide the plane 75 miles to dry land and then crash land it without killing anyone. Hopefully we can crash land and remain in the Championship and not plummet out of the sky into League One.
I hated it. But only because stories like that about planes freak me the f out. Like the one with the pilots over Florida crashing into the everglades because a bulb wasn't working and no one noticed they had been losing height for ages. Hate it.
But it was a brilliant metaphor - superb stuff.

Personally I though it was a quite brilliant report at a time when all of us are despairing. Clive has mentioned hours of watching Aircrash Investigation many times before, so it was great to see it pay off with the most apt of analogies.

Point is if you want a factual/boring/neutral report there are umpteen places to read one.
I know I have been guilty of criticising Nick's commentary but it is what it is - a CLUB commentary - again I COULD just listen to the bland 'spoof' EFL comm on the highlights but its not as much 'fun'
As I only watch the 90' re runs when we don't 'lose' I obviously haven't heard Nick and Andy much lately!

Nick: "It goes to Lowe at the edge of the area and then out for a throw" Andy: "It was Adomah for the throw I think" Nick: "Yeah it was Ablert after all"

I thought the report was sensational and really captured where the club are at right now. I'm also always taken by just how many fans of other teams look out for Clive's reports to get a handle on how QPR are getting on. I once even heard a non QPR fan refer to Andy Woolmer as 'Chuckles' in the wild!

As I say, as one of his biggest critics, give me 10 Nick London matches over 15 minutes of Jonathan Pearce!
PS He must be pleased Laird and Paal are not playing together now, he NEVER got either right!
