You do some of your best work around midnight I see Clive that was magnificent.Sad, depressing ,real but honest and insightful into the mess we are right now.
You did lift my spirits with our Man Of The Match that was very funny.
Its a crying shame our players did not show the same fighting spirit or pride in supporting QPR that he did.I tip my cap to him and you .
Brighter days ahead with our new manager we need them

A fair assessment I think. Sure, Neil was dealt a bad hand but as you point out he didn't help his cause by sticking remorselessly with a back 4 and standing by underperforming players. He was always going to struggle to hang on to his job after 1 win in 12 and several diabolical performances. Still, I can't help but think another managerial change will make little difference because the key decision makers at the club who provided Neil with a turd to polish, remain in their roles.

I`m betting we wont see that bench lineup come Blackburn.

'You didn't know that was wrong, but now you do. If you do it again, I'll know you are doing it on purpose.'

'They dangle that carrot in front of you, then turn it round and jam it up your arse fat end first.'

Shakespeare couldn't have described the joys of supporting QPR, better.

So after reading that JCS, Laird, Roberts, Richards and Balogun are bad eggs then.

What I’d give for a Dom Ball in our side now. Somebody with his desire and professionalism.
In stark contrast to the parasites that pass for players in our squad now.
I joked a couple of years ago that warbs was starting Dom so much that it looked like we were building a side around him. Halycyon days indeed.
Kudos to the 453 who travelled on Saturday .
Maybe the club could pay for your travel next time out as a gesture of goodwill.
Can’t see that happening.
Superb report as always.

The last couple of paragraphs of this report are smoother than Usain Bolt gliding to a 100m gold whereas all the others runners are flaying around like extras in the Titanic.

Pure gold. Gallows humour? Gallows genius.

The last three months (is it really only that long?) of watching QPR has lead me to a numbness where the only surprise at the end of the game is that I’m not in a gown that opens at the back with electrodes connected into my head. I keep expecting to see Leo DiCaprio driving a bus down the Uxbridge Road with the destination ‘Shutter Island’ on the front.

Tremendous stuff, and definitely one for the book I think, Clive. You are going to publish a book, aren't you?

Bloody Hell, go to bed, wake up and Dickie Davies and Critchley are no longer with us (though in different senses).

Beer and Beef has made us what we are - The Prince Regent

I am quite looking forward to Saturday at home to Blackburn and not see Critchley and his useless coaching team on the touchline, at this point not really bothered who is manager. Can someone confirm was Critchley ever introduced on the pitch to us as Manager as I arrived late for his first home match against Luton in December? to me he just always seemed the wrong appointment.

Good report, thanks Clive.

Critchley is the last person you want with you in the trenches. Didn’t inspire or bring any confidence. I’m pleased he’s gone.

Things are so bad I really can’t see any manager making a difference with this squad.

I was anticipating Saturday being an extremely toxic atmosphere, but now NC has gone I think it will be a bit more subdued. I think most of us are counting down the days until this season is over so we can file it away with all the other wasted seasons.

In different senses...yes ....World of Sport and World of Ongoing Despair although in both senses one was only as good as his backroom 'team' (if one can actually use that term with the latter) allowed him to be!

Just before the 1st goal we had a 5 minute spell where we got really lazy. Chair just stopped tracking back so their full back was overlapping and winning corners. Dozzell and Tim had dropped deep and stopped closing the ball down, we'd been OK up to that point but we keep having these spells in games where 3/4 players just switch off and before you know if we've conceded and bang in trouble

whats driven me mad about it is that on Saturday when we are having that spell at 0-0 Critchley has to make a change, break the game up, slow it down frustrate them. I know the bench is crap but stick Johansen on for the last 30 mins. Have a few players drop to the floor as Boro did and take any momentum out of attacks. We just stood and did nothing. Whoever the next manager is that attitude has to change

We're thick as sht. No game smarts at all. Lowe could drop into the midfield to make a five, just for five minutes, regain a foothold. Make a sub, fake an injury. Just calm it down a bit. Complete ten passes.

Nope. Just keep giving them it back and letting the momentum and pressure build.

Precisely. And then once one goes in, the team folds like a pack of cards.

Totally agree. The thing is that this squad has repeatedly shown these weaknesses at various points over the last 2-3 seasons which then begs the question, does the problem lie with the manager, the players, the DoF or a mix of all of the above?

It's a mix. Everybody's got their favourite to point the finger at at the moment, but it's a mix, and it's why when we go for a quick fix like changing the manager it doesn't move the needle much.

That new psychologist Critchley brought in surely has a job for life!

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

If it's a mix, then you have to look to the top for ultimate responsibility. If it's the players, then they're all or any combination of not good enough, bad attitude, wrong for the system etc. Why have we got these players here then and who signed them? If it's the manager, why was he chosen, how was he chosen, and what exactly is his role in the setup? If it's the DoF, what is his remit, how is his success (or otherwise) being measured, and who is responsible for overseeing this?

In the end, failure needs to be traced high up the organisation. The board have responsibility for choosing the DoF. Get the right DoF, you get the right manager and under a proper DoF system, get the right players. Get the right manager (along with the right players chosen from above) and you get good results on the pitch. It all stems from higher up at the end of the day. I believe a proper DoF is a necessity at this point and we can rebuild from there.

And as I've said before, Chris Ramsey has failed. This cannot be disputed now, and there will need to come a point where the viability of even having an academy needs to be considered.
