Except that every player should be 'up for it' every game - that ought to be a given. Alas, modern players just dont work as hard, and as consistently, as in the past, and we're managed to accept it. Wake up!
Played against a very good team today. Anger after Norwich, I’m totally with you. Not many Championship teams would have lived with that Boro first half.

They were pretty damn good, agreed, but 3 out of 9 teams had come to Boro and taken points before start of play today, while the home side had actually only managed 13 goals in those 9 games before they helped themselves to 3 more against us today. So they clearly weren't impenetrable and/or even that prolific.
Sinton more or less called it on comms - we played into their hands today, had no width (Saito was anonymous, though Julie still saw fit to leave him on at h/t) and couldn't keep the ball when we did get it because Varane and Madsen aren't clever or creative enough. Our players' limitations aside, I just don't think JS is very bright, unfortunately.

Agree on most of that they had our measure starting from that early let off when Nardi not only came off his line was nearly on the halfway line and got bypassed only a miracle saved us there (Mbengue ) They cut us apart from the kickoff but we had 2 great chances if Smyth looked/passed left there was 2 goal chances right there . Plus one his his poor decisions led directly to their second and killer goal otherwise at 1-0 who knows. We battled all second half at least and as someone mentioned Lecister and Marti have figured things out it seems that will be a rough test IMO

What sort of reception will Marti get on Saturday do we think?
That question could most likely be a thread in itself
Personally he will get a very neutral reception from me. I was never a great lover of Marti, i always felt with his track record we were a stepping stone, which is fair enough, neither clubs or persol have much loyalty these days. And for me it was just his lack personality.
The bottom line is, he is now Leicester's manager and I want to beat them simply because I want us to beat everyone.

Madsen has pretty much done that this season and he deserves credit for that. Kudos to him and I hope he shows Marti how much better he is and we beat them.
Can others do better and work harder - yes. Madsen is showing that’s possible. Leading in many aspects this season.
Do they want follow that example ? We’ll have to see over time but it’s clear we have got the best out of one or two by playing them in the right position. Burrell is the other one but two players does not make a team.
As my old (school) boss was fond of saying - ‘lead, follow or get out of the feckin way’

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

I’ll bet you a pound to a penny (1) someone will start the Cifuentes song (2) others will join in (3) it will be really embarrassing

As I said on the match thread. A couple of ball bounces going their way not ours and we could have been looking at a first half of Coventry proportions.

Quite obvious why Coventry and Boro are top two. Difference yesterday was we showed some balls in the second half in this one and probably should have narrowed the gap before the end. Surprised we didn’t make more changes in the starting line up . RND had his poorest game but the alternative being Esquerdinha, I can see why he was retained. Pretty certain if Field was fit he would have played. Ifs and buts.

Would you like to provide some evidence for that?
Because I think you'll find the data proves the opposite.

I am in a different camp, but ultimately the same outcome
I was gutted when MC went, as he turned things around when we looked dead and buried after several had tried and failed after the mess The Boil left us in - And in truth we still dont know the facts around him leaving (putting to one side the alleged ITK's on this forum)
BUT, it will be a polite applause from me on Saturday but I want those 3 points come 16:45 just like you

What effin planet are you on mate? I've watched several interviews with JS and he is clearly highly intelligent, articulate and impressively fluent in English. The EFL's top division is a really tough test for any manager, especially one who has no experience of English football, and I think JS has shown intelligence and adaptability as he comes to terms with this footballing crucible. He's also new to this country and to QPR as well. Coming up to halfway through the season, we're in 9th place, 3 points off the play-offs. Not bad going for someone who's not 'very bright', according to you.

You have your opinion and I have mine. I look at his lack of proactivity in games, his 'one size fits all' broad-brush comment on every opponent (despite telling us he watches just about every Champ game going) and his (probably instructed) tendency to blame 3 day weeks for our predictable failings in certain games, and I see a lack of incisiveness, a shoulder-shrugging mediocrity, self-criticality, and interrogative spirit more often than I'd like. Intelligence is something that makes you think, stirs the pot, and has a sharp blade.
As for our league position, it's a bit better than I thought. We win games and lose games. I think we might even beat 16th this season.
