His best game in a Rangers shirt, some great play from him that sort of role on the right suited him, linked very well with Vale, who again had a good game. The cut back from Bennie to Vale in 2nd half just wished he had tried the shot, if that was Kolli he would have rifled it in from the angle. Still can't believe we lost this game, said to my mate next to me had a feeling that Derby would get a lucky break and score. I do feel that Stephane's use of subs is poor, they made us lightweight, thought Morgan and Bennie stay on as both having great games. Adamson not good enough at this level and shame that Mbengue got crocked from hitting the boarding. Our defence is so wobbly especially late on in games, really miss Dunne. Overall except the loss some exciting football from us yesterday, but until we strengthen certain areas we are staying where we are. |  | | |  |

He’s one who we should probably keep in the squad as he can play a few positions.
We’ve also got players who were / are coming back from long injuries like Madsen, Chair, Burrell, Poku. I don’t think players give 100% anyway in dead rubber fixtures but when you’ve been out for a while, I don’t think you really push it. And now we’ve lost 2 of these 4. I just hope they can recover in the summer and be back for pre season.

Bennie's best game by some distance. He's been really poor in previous games so I'm pleased he's finishing the season well. I know he's younger than Adamson but just one point re young/inexperienced players. Adamson has even fewer games than Bennie. I'm not saying I see him as an option at right back for next season but the criticism from him has been a bit much IMO. He got done by an outrageous piece of skill yesterday. Credit to the derby player for that. He got forward more yesterday than on Tuesday and looked to play the ball forwards more. Couple of decent tackles too. At 23 it's probably best he looks for regular football at a level that suits him better | | | |

Glad we tried KA.
While it is of course possible he'll come good, we've probably seen enough to suggest the likelihood of it happening at Championship level is very slim.
As for DB, something really clicked yesterday. He was solid throughout and his best game by far. Certainly showed enough to suggst he's worth perceiving with. For him and QPR, the need is to build on this season. |  |

Agree with the OP regarding the cross to Vale early in the second half, though. He got plenty of encouragement from the Upper Loft to shoot and really should have.

Shooting and scoring would also be the right thing of course .
But as he approached goal that angle narrowed with every step forward.
He would have been coached to get his head up as he did for the first goal .
Hindsight is lovely , but if he shoots and misses the target or it’s saved then we all look at Vale standing there with his arms outstretched saying “just roll the ball to him for an easy chance “

I am right behind the goal, and it was 100% the right thing to do. Vale hit it with his right foot and didn't get the lift.
I thought Bennie was superb yesterday constantly finding the gap between the FB and CB. For 19, he is very physical, and he is a real handful for defenders.
Between him and Kolli, Bennie will end up the better all-around player and playing at a higher level. | |

And so was I. I didn't just think that he was our man of the match, but that he was the best player on the pitch. The help/protection given to Adamson also disappeared after he was substituted.
The problem with Bennie is similar to Vale, in that they seem to perform to the extremes rather than have an average game! At 19, I'm sure he will deliver more consistency over the years. | | | |

I agree he did well and yes, of course, he should have gone for goal as Kolli has done in a similar position this season.
The substitutions were wrong and not done properly. Stephan could have brought on 2 subs at half time, Adamson, Madsen and waited to use the last 2 windows as and when needed. There was no need to bring Burrell on as he could have put Kolli on for the hobbling Kone. A lesson should have been learnt from the injury in midweek to Poku. Burrell and Chair shouldn't have played in that game and not at Ipswich next week.

Bennie was good yesterday but he's been baggage in other games we've played. Not surprising given his age/experience. Best thing for him and the club would be if we can get him a loan to league 1 or 2 and he plays every week. This is assuming we've got him on a decent contract length. | | | |

I did see his goal at Hull. Great strike. Did you see him against Blackburn? He was awful in that game. Young player, inexperienced. He's going to blow hot and cold. That's fine. A loan to a lower league where he's going to play more is best for him at his current age. | | | |

Bennie is a 20 year old learning his trade. Bennie should be learning his trade either out on loan or as a squad first team player & in the Development Team playing every match possible. He should not be playing as much in the First Team because he is 'not ready' yet for many reasons.
As for Saturday, excellent start to the match, done very well indeed for our first goal. Overall though he was average and has been throughout his first team appearances. | | | |

He's not better than Kolli. Showed a few glimpses that he might have a career somewhere around our level. Kolli has shown that he is a natural finisher and will score a lot more goals than Bennie through his career. Ultimately it's good to have a few decent young prospects coming through. One or two might make the grade. Morgan probably at the front of that queue at the moment. He was excellent on Saturday. | | | |
