Second year in a row that our players are made to stand on the pitch and wait for the opponents to stop celebrating and get off before starting a ‘lap of thanks’ we’ll call it .
Burnley last year and Derby yesterday, deliberately stayed out there a long as possible to the point of awkwardness. In the end players started doing their own laps in dribs and drabs and it all petered out very quickly . 90% of the fans left before the families got to the pitch and it all became just a bit embarrassing as Hi Ho Silver Lining blurted out as those left grimaced with shame considering we’d just lost .

Quite simple though, if the players want to bask in adulation after the final home game of the season and get their egos stroked for some somewhat dubious efforts throughout the year, then win the frigging game.

Spot on. Tbf we did play well for an hour yesterday but unfortunately a football match is 90 minutes (or even 100!) long.
I suppose it's an improvement on losing 5-0 like last year (people do keep saying what an improvement this season is) but we're probably saving that scoreline up for the Ipswich game.

Bored to death with Bristol city . Schooled by Swansea and after dominating Derby and still losing .
I’d had enough . Same faces in the loft end and the die hards who showed up on Tuesday all buggered off on the final whistle.
Will be back again in August to watch a completely different line up but it will still be QPR .

Yes we have, 10 home defeats is nothing to be contended with and a lap of honour should not have taken place.
I was up and out on the final whistle as I was last season after Burnley's 5-0 win.
The clubs said thank you for your support in the season ticket renewal email. Losing 8 -11 home games each season is not a good way to show their gratitude. It's pathetic.
Any club hoping to win promotion cannot do so by losing 30% or more of its home games.
How many did Warnock or Redknapp lose?
QPR' need to work on making Loftus Rd more of a fortress if they want to trouble the top 6 next season. | | | |

Yeah, shame it wasn't a proper one as it has been in previous seasons. Might not be much to celebrate this season, but this was the season I started to bring my little boy to matches. Was really looking forward to this one and telling him all about the players walking round the pitch at the end. Also couldn't get tickets for R block so we were stuck down in X watching Derby go on like they'd won the league!!
However, a few of the players came over and we managed to meet and get pictures with Nardi, Adamson. Mbuenge, Kone, Kolli, Varane and my boys hero Paul Smyth. Special shout out to Adamson and Nardi who saw my boy from half way across the pitch and made a beeline straight for him to say hello. Also to Kone, who remembered meeting my mates' Mum at a hospital over Xmas after she recovered from cancer. He had a long chat with her and asked how she is getting on, really nice touch. So although it wasn't the best, my lad had a wonderful day and went home and very happy Ranger | | | |

I can see both sides of this. Lap of honour is possibly stretching it after yet another season of, at best, mediocrity. But as someone else said, a lap of thanks is fair enough. In the past, my youngest has loved it when the players get up close after the final game of the season - including after last season's shellacking by Burnley - and the connection with kids is something I think the club does pretty well in general.
That said, I can see why people get hacked off with it after yet another home defeat. For my own part, I couldn't even be bothered to go yesterday after Tuesday's shambles. So there's a nice bit of hypocrisy for you . [Post edited 26 Apr 12:11]

As a kid, id be desperately trying to run, in excitement, on the pitch at the last game of the season. Then the club did its best to stop you with marshalls and ropes.
