Were Kolli and Santos injured at the end of last season? I get Dembele and Larkeche not going, they had horrible injuries to recover from. Seems a bit odd, or pointed.
On the plus side, good to see Obikwu fit and in the fold. And two proper keepers going (even if one is redacted).

I think from reading on here and otherwise Kolli is often unfit.
I would say potentially he is the best finisher at the club, ie can finish where most others don't possess the skills he has, yet he is ultimately not chosen often and clearly not as highly thought of as by most fans.
Somethings sadly clearly not right.
The only other reason he may not be attending is the club could have suitors for his signature and if we got close to £2 million, we will sell. If the bid is under £1 million, I would keep, but maybe he is moving elsewhere, which would be a shame but understandable, all the same.
For me he has a lot more natural talent as a striker than Alfie Lloyd, but i personally doubt Alfie will be here also.
If Larkeche is on his way, I would love us to have a loan move for Amass. [Post edited 9 Jul 19:01]

Adjetey-Brew is a decent LB for the DS. He's just 18 so still young and could well progress but I'm quite surprised he's got to go on the trip.
Isak Alemayehu is a promising CM. Needs to bulk up but has good vision and passing.
Jaylan Pearman I think was the DS's top scorer last season. More of a 10 than a centre forward.

Not good enough ?
That’s not really true from what I and many of us have seen.
He often had spells of appearances and then nothing for weeks on end.
What is missing is consistency in performances and in appearances. If and when he gets these we will be in a better position to judge how good he is.
Will Kolli get that chance at QPR or at another club (West Ham were said to have been impressed when he played against them in the FA Cup)? | | | |

Yes there is another keeper abiut to be announced (almost certainly Pearce Charles
Esquindinha and Cooper are about to be sold.
Dixon Bonner and Celar are surplus to requirements and wont be with us for long
Slightly surprised Kolli is staying behind, but given his j jury history if its strength training than im finewith that. he was in a lot of the pre season fitness social media, so I doubt its anything significant.
Santos is also likley gone, so its a worry hes injured. |  |

Think this year's travelling squad looks a lot closer to a Championship squad than we've travelled with for a while. For those of the "bit worried" persuasion, this is the squad for Girona last year...
Quite a few players who played no part in the season, lke Celar, Sutton and the likes of Hassan, Tuck, Akindileni, Pearman, Richards plus no Kone, Burell, Saito, RND yet, or Edwards of course.
We could start the season with what we have, but there'll be loads more in and out.

Me any little lad stayed behind after the last home game to see the players walk around. We met Kolli and he was brilliant with my boy. His knee was in a brace and he was walking very gingerly. We asked him about and he said hopefully nothing serious. So maybe it's just rehab with that. Agree that fitness seems a big issue with him, I can't remember seeing a player cramp up as much as he does. We've all complained, quite rightly, about pre-season training and general fitness levels so let's hope leaving him at home is about getting him properly fit for the season. I really hope it doesn't mean he's on his way out coz there is a natural talent for finishing there. Every year I hope this is going to be his season, but this season really feels like it needs to be his season to break out.
The club really don't help themselves with this silence about injuries/fitness etc as it leaves so much room for rumour and 'noise'. Kolli's side haven't helped with this either, but I just see a young, hungry talent that wants to play for his boyhood club.
As much as the general silence on injuries is frustrating, I think the club have done a good job by releasing this list and given a bit of clarity to what's going on with certain players. But then, if you're going to do that, why leave off Esq? Typical Rangers I guess. | | | |
