Anyone know who's off and playing for their country? Jimmy Dunne and Harvey Vale for RoI,I guess, and Paul Smyth for the North, so who else is going to be missing from the training ground? Nothing on the offish. |

Keeping in theme with the sponsorship thread, we are in NYC for a week which obviously includes the marathon
This year, I am a lot more organised (or at least feel it) but I do know that LFW posters are a well travelled bunch.
So, I would be hugely grateful for some advice, in terms of getting from the airport (JFK) to our hotel (Near Grand Central Stn), things to see and do and also good reasonably priced places to eat.
I know when we did Chicago last year some of the tips that came from here were amazing so thought I would return for some more

I have to say I'm quite surprised there isn't a thread on just how well he hit that with his weaker foot.
It didn't even look like a strike on someone's weaker side.
99 times out of 100 that's going in row Z.
Dunne's against Brum was similar (using his left) but Smyths looks even more impressive from the main replay angle.
Massive credit to him and I love the fact he continues to impress me as the years go on. |

It was a big birthday for me in June and my girls bought W12 hospitality and a stadium tour for me. We picked the Preston game mainly because it seemed a safe bet to avoid a time change for TV.
Without wishing to appear big-headed I've been fortunate through work to do quite a lot of corporate hospitality, but in my 50 odd years of watching Rangers I've never been behind the scenes.
Firstly the stadium tour was very good. Think it was £15 so pretty good vfm. Apparently the same bloke - Alan does each tour, local guy and very knowledgeable, seen Rangers at White City and had lots of stories. Really enjoyable and highly recommended - changing rooms, Amit's corporate box, media room, out to the dugout amongst other stuff.
Bumped into Andy Sinton at the end of the tour, what a great ambassador he is. Clearly he had a busy schedule hosting the 67 players and family before commentating duties but nothing was too much trouble for him, had time to chat to everyone, pose for photos etc - absolute credit to the club.
The W12 restaurant was very enjoyable, relaxed and quite informal. Food was good and the staff were very friendly, attentive and chatty. Rodney was a special guest and was in good form - typical Rodney forthright, confident and with a good story or two - certainly no shrinking violet!
Seats were in the Central area behind the directors and leg room was good! The game has been described well enough elsewhere, all i can say is that Smyth's goal was celebrated as wildly in that area as elsewhere in the ground. We sat behind Lee Cook and his family.
After the game the restaurant was open for about an hour and Paul Smyth came in to talk about his goal, joked he'd already shanked one shot and came across as a really decent, humble and modest bloke.
Appreciate the W12 is not a cheap option, but anyone looking to do something special then I highly recommend it. The second half was probably the icing on the cake.

I opened an account with them to sell some items and sold a CD , but instead if receiving the funds my account has been suspended. I am at a loss as to why and the AI generated emails and responses are unhelpful to say the least.
Does anyone know an email address or phone number to connect with a human st eBay? |

So having just read Clive’s stirring report on our PNE match and the valid point that not all ‘wins’ will result in three points. That said, in the cold light of day, it is probably 2 points dropped based on current for. So having accrued 10 points out of the first 12, we have only take 3 from the last 12. We are now right on the brink of- still in the play-off picture, but potentially one loss from 11th or 12th. Personally happy enough just to be in the mix, but clearly some much tougher games the far side of the International break.
Not wishing to turn this into another injuries (or God forbid, Kolli) thread, just wondering what is everyone’s general take of the first 8 games? |

Thread | Fans who celebrate properly

The delirious scenes on Saturday were yet another reminder of how well our fans celebrate goals, whether they are the Zamora goal, Mackie's legendary winner against Liverpool or a late equaliser against a crap team in an early season Championship match. The online clips of Smythy's thunderbastard make me proud to be a QPR fan - and help me justify the random shaking of, and shouting at, people I undertook in MU just before 5pm on Saturday.
On the other hand, I've seen some Fulham fans "celebrate" goals this season as if they were applauding a Geoffrey Boycott single to fine leg - and that's the ones who actually move. Some of them just smile ffs!
So, which other fans celebrate properly? I have a couple of clubs in mind, but I'll keep them to myself for now.
