Not to sure I can deal with this news, just when you thought things couldn't get worse.

A bit of ''If'' by Ruddy Kippling is what I'm turning to for solace,

IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise
Because I don’t think they’ll get a chance to do a falolloper shooty

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

Never thought he was that great a player and was he worth his 60 odd grand a week? Never.
He was dead in the water as a player and person after his actions against City.
Unforgivable!!

80%? He definitely has an overinflated idea of his worth.

The grass is always greener.

He was an utter twunt in that crucial, storming, heart-breaking then ultimately not crucial game, but I feel if anything more aggrieved at how the (half-blind, if not actually bent) ref and his so-called assistants either missed or else noted and failed to punish Tevez' blatant jump and slap on Barton previously, which should have been a straight red. As it was, Tevez got exactly what he wanted with their help, and a bit more besides, thanks to Barton's post-card theatricals.

That said, he was a mediocre player for us a lot of the time, a liability far too often, and, on his own admission, only with us for the money - though, unlike most players, at least he admitted it, I suppose. (Ultimately, even a 'good egg' like Onouha, left us for the same reason.) If he could pass and strike a ball as much as he talks, he might have been something.

Post-football, he's toxic, but interesting.

For all the talk concerning Barton, I think the word liability is the most apt.

Barton is the epitome of everything we did wrong after winning promotion.

He did more on the pitch than some of the players we signed, but that is damning him with very feint praise, and he won't be forgiven for very nearly relegating us in 2012.

Suffering since 1978.

He’s a cancer pure and simple.

I hope people realise this. Still can’t believe there are fans who defend him or at least cut him slack.

Sod that, the man is rotten to the core and I hope we never speak of him again. Wishful thinking!

Poll: Do you think this current QPR team has got what is takes to go up this year?

Something I never understood, the first game of our promotion season, Sheffield Wednesday at home? He was cheered onto the pitch. And treated like a hero. Despite saying he wouldn’t play for us in the championship. I never understood why the fans got behind him so much. I do get it’s counter-productive to boo a player on your own team, when you are wanting to win. But still?

Barton. on 00:24 - Feb 11 with 4204 viewsSydneyRs

The away team's first man at corners always liked him.

Tbf he did put in a shift most of the time, unlike several of his peers. Always recall very late in the playoff final him ducking in to a header from a Derby corner pretty close to the boot of one of their players. Can't say he didn't try and it was our desperation that led to him being paid so much.

Joey disrespected the club every week with his daft egotistical social media ramblings. He knew this deliberately drove the Rangers fanbase to hate him and he literally didn't give a flying one, did it every week regardless.

Don't want to waste any of my mental energy discussing or thinking about that prick's time at our club. We shouldn't even dignify him with a thread.

Hard to disagree with that figure Brixton, although I think you needed to round the last digit up to a 7.

Average player.
Despicable human.
The only good thing he did was introducing Steve Black to help compensate for the lack of management ability at the time.
