Some players i really despise and very near the top of the list is Pontus Jansen. He always niggles, fouls, mouths off and in his despicable way does his best to get other players sent off etc.. Its not the fact that he does it , its the sheer cheek in the way he does it. Cant stand him.
Even in this seasons game he was up to his old tricks and I think he came on as a sub and was at it straight away. He's up there with David Speedie

Not expecting too much from him generally but it'll be disappointing if de Wijs can't be any sort of upgrade on Geoff right now.
Fond of Ball as anyone but nights like tonight he does sorely test the patience the silly sod. Warbs' comments on Field sounded like he was onto a winner in that department.
As usual Cameron gets the negative comments but he was just as good as Dickie tonight. Captain of the side who have won 5 out of 6 and let in just 3 goals during this run too I think but people want him out the side??

I opted not to watch like I did for the Watford game and another good self sacrifice decision with a repeat result. Even though I saw nothing I am ecstatic with the result as it feels like a long time since we have beaten them. It is staggering to think we have come from behind to beat Watford and Brentford. I must keep on missing the games if it means winning.
Shame we didn't play Brizzle City in this period as we might have ended our game losing streak against them.

They are so smug and arrogant and deserved to get beaten tonight. There is definitely an air of superiority about them, but they have achieved nothing to warrant such arrogance. It’s almost as if the Championship is below them. R’s were terrific in the second half. Great subs, great gameplay, total shithousery in the last 5 mins and 3pts. Swansea have two games in-hand on them and Watford are staying in touch without doing too much. Brilliant from the whole club tonight.

But Austin's playing very poorly and we're not calling him on it. But a couple of posters called Dykes three minutes into this game.

This is not a case of berating him 3 minutes into the game. He is shocking, absolutely shocking. Absolutely beyond me how the hell you can even try and defend him. This is NOT a kid, it is a 25 year old who has now played 26 games in this league scoring ONE goal in open play.
He has NOT improved and (in my opinion) is getting worse. The team looked much, much better without him.
For balance, it may seem like I have been on his back, but I have been on Kane and Wallace's backs too. They combined magnificently for the winner and, blow me, look at Charlie's movement and anticipation to get where the ball came to. Neither Dykes nor Bonne score that.
So, yes, Charlie did a few things wrong in the first half, but he responded with a goal. Dykes had a couple of nice touches and passes in the tail end of the first half, but, like almost every game this season, he posed no threat going forward and did not threaten their goal.
Sorry for being on a downer after a fantastic win, but I genuinely don't get why people want to criticise me for this view. Yep, you may have a different view; fine, but someone please explain to me what Dykes did right tonight or on any appearance he has made to date.
For the record, the last three games, Wallace has been fantastic at left back (just to show that I can be persuaded otherwise).
As I say, not the night for it as it should be all good, but depending on him is going to blow up in our face. Sorry.

Ridiculous.
He's part of a central defensive unit that's doing a great job, he's playing every minute of every game at the age of 35, I think his experience is probably his greatest value.
From what I've seen, much better balance to the team with Johansen in. less likely to get over-run.

Sadly, that is as much of a reflection of how far we’ve sunk. For us older fans it really shouldn’t be a big deal beating Brentford, but it’s become one because of how poor we’ve been for so long now.

That Brentford side can fcuk right off. Toney is detestable. Always diving or niggling off the ball or in the ref’s ear. He’s a talented player, but he’s resorting to behaving like an utter c*nt Someone should and will break his leg at some point. You cannot be that “against a fellow pro” and get away with it forever.
Thought we burgled them a bit. Both teams were poor for spells. Field for Ball and Willock for Dykes made a big difference. Field was superb when he was on. Classic Austin popping up for the winner.
Defensively, I thought Geoff was shaky throughout and struggled. Dickie looked wobbly when dragged into deep water out wide...but Barbet, who I have been highly critical off for most of his time here, was excellent again. He is in excellent form.

Still wish someone could teach Kane to cross. One day, Rodney....
I thought Cameron had a decent game, we did look shaky at times at the back but always seemed to be putting bodies on the line and snuffing out attacks.
Really good win that, all about the character of the team, we didn't play particularly well but never gave up and stayed in the game. With Austin in the side if you stay in the game we will always get chances to win games.

I thought we were poor and second best for most of 1st half until that blocked shot at the end. Second half much better. Intensity increased, took our chances and proper game management to see it out.
And all the other results went our way. Coventry, Brum, Forest all lost, Rotherham losing. 16th is ours and we have 1 or 2 games in hand, so should be looking upwards from now.
