We play far to slowly and always look at the safe option.... a manager who I feel does not quite know what his best teams is or his best formation to get the team ticking
But yes we don't concede many which is a plus and we did top the table
Seen plenty of winners of tournaments play like England by not conceding and winning 1-0. But you just feel that we could win with a little more panache.

I was a bit worried with 25 to go, but Bellingham for Grealish seemed to take the midfield away from the Czechs and we were easily the better side from then on. I was a bit disappointed DCL didn’t get on instead for Kane, but it was much better all round against a decent side. |  | | |

Yes, the Queens Arms is opposite. You can see the edge of the Marriot Hotel on the right in the first picture. I was crossing Priory Road and wondering why anyone in their right mind would drive a coach down such a narrow road and then when I saw the side of the coach I realised that the team must have been staying in the hotel and left via the side entrance. Lots of kids were running around as there are two schools nearby. |  |

Yes it looks like the aim is to follow the Greece 2004 method and bore everyone to death with a series of 1-0 wins 
Thing is first half with Grealish and Saka we looked a lot brighter, it's amazing what a bit of pace and movement can do. Sterling hits the post, Kane probably should score too, so we could have been two or three up at half time. Unfortunately we then have another Warbs esque half time team talk from Southgate, the whale music goes on and the players come out soporific for the second half. All the zip and energy we showed in the first half seems to go out the window.
If it's one of France/Germany/Portugal in the next game then we will have to pull our fingers out and probably score at least two goals - and if you want to win the thing you have to beat the best teams at some point. So if it's through a series of dull 1-0 wins, who really cares?  
And I know Kane is our leader/legend blah blah but he looks really knackered and probably distracted by his transfer goings on too, so I'd be tempted to drop him and start someone else. Won't happen though of course. |  |
