Thought I would throw in a religious connotation for the time of year that's in it, although hoping we won't need a miracle. For me, I think the biggest thing is getting back on track. Quite ironic that we never looked liked scoring in the last two games (even with a penalty) after scoring for 31 in a row. So first thing is not to lose tonight, in order to avoid any hint of losing sequence and the second is to score, as that quickly becomes an 'important' stat also. I think we need four points from the next two, just to steady the ship a little. I don't really mind which way around, although can see Birmingham being a nil, niller, so going for a 2-1 win here, with Dykes scoring at least once.

Could have nicked a point on Monday and one was all we deserved tonight, so to end up with 3 from the 2 games is a result despite the Monday defeat. It could make the difference the end of season between play-offs or not. Well done U Rrrs!

I thought City were poor, we were off it for a bit but they shot their bolt.

We deserved the win, they deserved what they got.

It’s time for a large Southern Comfort.

That was a terrible watch and we struggled to put two passes together. Bar the last 20 minutes Willock couldn't string a pass together and Field couldn't get hold of the ball. BUT - I just love Barbet and that goal at the death was right up there. A great Rangers moment in front of our loud and proud following. Johansen came far more into the game too - a different player when he is in the opposition's half.

As a side note, their midfielder Alex Scott looks quite the talent for a lad that only turned 18 this season.

Thought their young player Scott was a handful.

Don't understand why Naki can't get into that side - with a clinical finisher they could have been out of site by half time.

Thought we got better after a terrible start, Dunne and Dickie all over the place but improved. Willock struggles without Chair in the team, Wallace nowhere near fit yet but will hopefully get there. Stefan played well I thought, Amos did great to win the penalty but not a lot apart from that. Adomah really struggled defensively in first half but much better 2nd half.

Barbet clear MOTM, great defending, a number of brilliant diags to Uncle in the 2nd half and of course scoring the winner.

Mediocre display but who cares when you get a last minute winner away from home?
Well done Rangers.

Wow, that didn’t really look like coming. Shame Dykes didn’t take his chance with a first time strike. Pleased for Austin with that penalty - Phew! So relieved. I

It’s probably been said early on but without Chair we didn’t look at all a threat going forward for most part of the game until we played against the 10 men maybe. Even then i thought we were lucky and casual too many times.

We are going to miss Chair when he goes to AFCON, or indeed Everton if he’s rumoured which I think is unlikely, however.

But we’ll done lads for sticking at it. Bravo 👏

City played well for the first 15 minutes, but played for the full time whistle from then on. And deserved nothing as a result

Maybe we will sign that Spurs youngster on loan - always hard to tell from short clips but he looks the part to be that creative spark.

I didn't think they were wasting time at all. Even with 10 men they were at us. Fair play to them.

Just seen the winner, Don Givens would have been proud of that near post Barbet flicked header.

Agree, they played to win. Funny all the drying of the ball though, that really wasn’t in their best interests!

One of my brothers went over / down to Bristol this evening, he says there were no trains back to town after the game and the city's hotels are full of Rangers. Kudo's to all those who went.

Edit...is this like when the fleet returns to port, all the local working ladies are flocking into the city centre?

After the first 15 minutes, who saw that result coming?

We could have been 3-0 down. 1st half our only shot on target was the penalty.
2nd half much improved. Even more after king got sent off.

Wasn't a great watch, very feisty at times but bank 3 points and move on.

Fantastic result that is, boy did we ride our luck, well thanks to some bad finishing by them.
I just didn't see that coming, great finish to the new year, keeps us well in it.

I think they definitely looked to slow the game down at times - on a number of occasions they kicked the ball away on our throw in's and free kicks and they took an age whenever they dried the the ball with a towel before a long throw.

I did wonder though if part of them slowing the game down was to give them a rest as when the ball was in play, they did look to close us down and try to break at speed.

I'm still really pissed off from the home fixture when we absolutely dominated Bristol City but somehow lost the game. I want revenge for that. I'm happy with terrible football and a 90th minute winner.
