This kind of thing really boils my p!ss. Most of the younger generation now seem to have big chips on their shoulders and behave like this (certainly in my experience anyway). Who on earth is raising these kids? Fcuk em. They deserve the pre-planned economic catastrophe that is coming their way at an ever increasing pace. They will own nothing and will forever be in debt to the elite (apologies to any well-behaved millennials BTW)

Not a youth (nor a yoot, for that matter)

These little pr#cks would run a mile given an army uniform and facing an enemy. Get one on their own and they'd wet their knickers. C#nts.

It's being so happy that keeps me going.

ah, hate behaviour like this, but "All the youth" statements are well off the mark.

And, as a youth, my actions in and around football grounds, gigs etc in the 80's wasn't always great, let's be honest about this.

Similar things have been happening for generations

Having a 16 year old daughter, I would say the younger generation seem so much more tolerant, full of less hatred and far more inclusive than anything that's gone before

There's lots of evidence that the youth of today are some of the best behaved on record - harder working, less likely to drink and do drugs. Growing up in the post 2008 world and endless economic difficulties are a big part of that!

Summer trains from Brighton are always a nightmare - I live in Haywards Heath so twenty mins into the journey to London, seen a fair few fights of people of all ages - all day drinking in Brighton in the sun no small part of that.

I'm in my mid-thirties but know a lot of teenagers through my professional life - lazy generalisations like this really don't match up to the reality

This chimes with my kids’ experience, they have none of the fear of random “what are you looking at” violence I had growing up, they’ll go anywhere at any time, talk to anyone. However, kids living a mile down the road seem to live in terror if they wander out of their patch. Very strange.

By the way, that’s definitely Damon Albarn, looking good for his age. Lock the Ch*ls** knut up.

I have found that most kids now-a-days are generally polite and thoughtful. But of course if you want to form an opinion on middle class druggies, feral yoofs running a muck or perhaps horney viagra fuelled pensioners swapping partners, you can always depend on tabloids.
Polite well behaved elements of society don't sell papers. Stories about our eroding society and terrorist hiding around every corner do.

Travel around this city now train, bus, tube, you'll see lads like this couple of times a month. Play small sided football, you'll get them every week.

Big and hard when they're with their friends, talking like they grew up in the fcking Bronx, threatening to "cut" you if you catch their eye wrong, always keen to play their 'music' out loud on the tube for the rest of the carriage to enjoy. Love an easy target, lass going home by herself, couple of gay lads... Then when somebody objects they go into this 'hold me back Dave' routine. I love the sweaty mess in the grey tracksuit in this one "hold me back" - well there's nine of you mate and only that one guy so if you want to crack on I reckon you could do, he's really not stopping you. Shouting "you'll do nuttin" like he grew up in the ghetto. They got off at... Three Bridges. Probably home in time for the tea his school teacher mum cooked for him. Looks like she still cuts his fcking hair for him, soft cnt. Never shaved. Never been laid. Absolute waste. Genuine fcking soppy embarrassment. One day hopefully he'll do it to the wrong person, get the absolute proper hiding he so sorely deserves. Mind you, then you'll have to hear all this "lovely lad" "high achiever" "huge potential" bullsht in the newspaper.

But it's just generalisations isn't it? See a video like that, the absolute despair of a whole generation goes really well for the target market. I saw another video recently of lads that age heading home from a night out who sprinted, grabbed/caught and hauled back a lass who was in the process of offing herself over the side of a bridge. You shouldn't rush to sweeping judgements of enormous swathes of people by the extremes of their demographic.

Apologies for The Sun link...

Exactly.

Unacceptable behaviour but the generations between football hooliganism, Mods v Rockers, and Teddy boys telling youngsters who didn’t get free education, cheap housing, and no cost of living crisis that they deserve economic oblivion is a bit much.

Yes,we've always had these "creatures",all the way back to Victorian times. Not that I remember that far back but Mods v Rockers certainly were a pain in the harris, and Skinheads....yeah very brave in a mob.Trouble is now you never kinow if the scrotes are going to pull a knife on you.Even though I'm built like a brick sh*thouse I'd be reluctant to get "involved".

Same. I think you hear the woman in that video say as much.
I go on about this a lot but it’s their go to in the football leagues I play in - trip a kid up, straight up, at you, “I’ll cut you” “I know ppl that will stab you” etc.

“I’ll cut you” “I know ppl that will stab you” etc.

Youths copying what they see on the screen, in the case of football aping what their elders have done around them

the problem was rampant particularly in London as far back as the middle ages when the apprentices of certain guilds went on the rampage particularly on holidays.

Yep.I used to love watching sunday football but now it's infested with that attitude - the players and supporters. The heartbeat of football is being arrested, the halcyon days of watching 279 in the FA Sunday Cup etc. just a pleasant memory.

Is this any different really to being told "I'll break your f*****g leg" or "you're gonna get your f*****g head kicked in"? I was told this repeatedly in the '60's & early '70's on the pitch. You soon grow to realise this isn't going to happen, but it was very frifghtening when I started playing adult football!

As a 70 year old, I don't have much contact with the youth of today, but what I've had has shown more tolerance than I can recall in my lifetime.

They were called Lager Louts in my day.

Unacceptable behaviour but more to do with the Police harassing citizens doing their public duty and pulling down offensive criminal statutes than patrolling the country and stopping these muppets in the first place.

Police are too busy putting the boot into so-called 'woke' people meanwhile the louts run free!

I took the younger Miss Sheen on a walking tour of Essex in the Spring (yes really, got the Luton score in a bus shelter in Ongar). We stayed in Maldon and Chelmsford and while the accent instantly put me on edge, I was taken aback by how polite the kids were - friendly to bar staff, thanking the bus drivers when they got off, wishing them a good night. I was a bit ashamed for doubting them.
