I've been listening to a lot of ex-R Phil recently. And found out a few things.
First thing was, he's not really a c unt. I read his book and thought he came across as a normal human being. Funny, annoying, talented, full of shit, hard working, easily hurt, well intentioned, faintly narcissistic and capable of making wonderful music.
He is that easy target that all the 'cool' crowd like to throw up on, whilst inflicting their own vomit inducing 'art' upon me.
I decided to go on a Phil escapade and bought some second hand CD's (sod streaming) of his solo stuff and post PG Genesis. And it bloody enjoyed it, mostly.
Post 'Duke', Genesis i can do without, likewise post 'No Jacket Required' Phil i don't need.
The bloke isn't a c unt, he's just a talented musician that Paul Morley and Noel gallgher ( proper c unts in my book) hate. That should be enough of a recommendation shirley.
He is a c unt for turning his back on Rangers obvs. innit.
There's no real pointy to this post. As there isn't to life. it just is.
More sherry waiter please.

I used to know Phil when he came down the Underhill studios with Genesis. Nice fella with long hair he was, wood shell drum kit he had. Helped with Genesis equipment couple of times.Didn't miss a beat when I was screwing a groupie called Kate behind the Marshall stacks,Guildford Civic.
Kate bush was so cool.We used to bump into her in the Sarf London pubs when she was just a shrub.

Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your a**hole. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.
The only good genesis albums are pre 1980 imo.

Back in the eighties my mate was the steward for the directors box hospitality area. Used to go in regularly and enjoy a few sandwiches and celebrity spot.
Walked past Phil on the stairs once and asked him what was he doing here.
On a side note. First gig I saw was Genesis at Earls Court, maybe 75. Some Gabriel Genesis is a bit peculiar however Trick of the Tale and Wind and Wuthering have some wonderful pieces of music on them, and yes some of it is nonsense.
Squonk, Ripples, etc better then any sussudeio shite.
Then I discovered Eddie and the Hot Rods.

Genesis: not as good as Spooge or The Iroegbunam Connundrum
The short-lived Barclay Jake Clarke Salter Harvest Orchestra were a tremendous outfit until the keyboard player (on loan from Beelzebub’s Ringpiece) sustained a recurring mellotron injury early into the triple-LP concept album The Twinge It Twingeth.

We've got away from the real subject here, what's the one thing that as a football fan you just never do? It's the lowest, contemptible thing that only right bastards do! Piss off and support another club because you're a halfwit glory hunter. I don't care about his sh1t music ,he walked away from QPR and for that he should forever be hated by all on here!

How much do some people need? One celebrity on that 2nd list had a personal fortune of £500 million and still became a tax exile. Without meaning to start another 20 page thread, how much of that £500 million could they ever spend, even if their future income is subject to uk tax?
They just don't want anyone else having it. Greed is a venal characteristic.
