Cheers Clive - enjoy your time off, you deserve it. Try and avoid anything QPR related.

I'm not getting carried away though as inevitably this lot will phone it in again next weekend and we'll lose. Also Huddersfield seem quite useful at set pieces and have some Lurch equivalent at CB who scored from a corner at the weekend.

Not helped by fking Sky though either - when did they move it to a Sunday??

Poll: How old is everyone on here?

I do love a bunch of middle aged blokes who spend half their lives debating whether sam fiekd can pass well or not giving someone as beautiful as Marti style advice 😂
JCS: is it me or when he’s next to Cook he’s much more aggressive both with tackling and headers? Its like he gets set free.

Bare bones.

No, it's not just you Antii. Cook makes everything about the defence better, including his fellow centre backs.

His impact is massive. If he can play 80% or more of the rest of the games, I think we have a chance.

My not very statistical analysis suggests JCS plays 66% less like a tart when alongside Cook. All the xG models in the world won’t tell you the value of having a bloke good at organising others and heading and kicking it away.

Half a fence is less than 50% effective as a whole fence.

Raises everyone’s else performance in the defence because he doesn’t accept sh*t, he usually does his job very well, and they respect him having played at a higher level than all of them.

Well yesterday we were sort of deflated to start with, accidentally scored and then inflated.

It's a weird group. If we can get out of this still in the Championship then great, shake hands with all of them, release everybody, we'll never speak of it again.

Do you mean to say 23/24 won’t be a mainstay of the history articles in years to come…

I'm usually an advocate of possession and not a "get it forward" merchant, but I was about to have a bloody meltdown if JCS passed it back to Begovic again. He passed it forward, i held my tongue and lo and behold we scored immediately. From there I thought we controlled matters well.

Pre match I delivered a character assassination of the squad to all who'd listen, and fair enough, the team actually countered pretty much everything I said. But it means I still don't really trust them.

We're still sunk imo - we have to win next week to even be in a relegation battle let alone have a chance of staying up

I can only imagine what Marti is capable of. Imagine if he had a squad of not-shit. All things are possible under Marti the Redeemer.

Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.

Yeah. He's aged several years in a few months. Same thing happened to Ainsworth. Managing QPR these days will do that.

Steve Cook on Marti: "He's taken on a really tough task managing this club".

Oh yes, he certainly has.

Glad he's here, though.

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Funny but wonder if Cook and/or Colback will be in trouble. Guess we’d probably know by now if they were.

Its pretty nasty to throw anything on to the pitch whether its coins, batteries ,bottles of water etc but a player throwing it back should never happen IMO.
You have a group of scum ruining the experience for everybody and giving them a bad name but the rest are not involved so just let the security sort it out.
What if Colback hit someone in the eye it would probably mean criminal charges or a libal suit at least .
He was probably getting abused and just reacted but not good whether he got spotted or not

Unbelievably stupid of both of them.

If young fellas did it you could educate them, but these boys are supposed to be leaders.

Think Carragher got done for it once after the event. I’m sure others have. Maybe let’s stop talking about it and it’ll go away :)

Absolutely outrageous that - especially against fans of the Family Club of the Year.

I'm with you here. Huddersfield hadn't won away last season until they visited us and we handed them their first away win. We have a terrific recent record with them with a solitary 1-0 win to boast about in the last 12 meetings. Last time we went down to league 1 it was Huddersfield that sent us there.

We are not very good at home on Sky in terms of results. The question is will the four players the Terriers have brought in this month improve them for the run in whatever the result Sunday?

A win - Report on 22:23 - Jan 22 with 1059 viewskensalriser

Our previous records against Huddersfield and on Sky have no influence on what happens Sunday. Their new players might.

We really need Cook in this team, he makes a huge difference with just his presence. JCS is a lot better next to him, maybe he doesn't feel so responsible, like he isn't ready to be the leader at the back or the senior back there, like that old head next to him. It works.

I really want us to survive, I think we can and it's not crazy to think we can. I'm not going crazy with my belief but the door ain't closed on it either. As always I sat down with the cup of tea and read the report from you Clive and as always it's so entertaining and so down to the ground real, thank you so much. I haven't got a problem with any of the player ratings...I'm happy if these players can prove me wrong with what I've thought so far this season. Come on u Rrrrrrs.
