Different times. Some of us can remember Wolves manager, Stan Cullis, allowing players nothing more than a brief handshake after scoring a goal. This from a team that won three Championships.
Player or fan, football brings back the kid in all of us. And that's no bad thing, particularly when we're in our dotage.

TBF I am enjoying him a lot, but yeh he is a refereeing liability.
We can all see that, even the happy clappers. I wonder if part of it is adjusting to the Championship. I saw one of the League 1 play off matches and I think they got away with more. It seemed pretty physical.
We can see he's a liability and still enjoy his zest for the game and for life though. Even QPR fans can have nice things for a while.

Football (and sport in general) is the entertainment business they score a goal they celebrate, we celebrate. They win a game they celebrate we celebrate, that's is what we go for, it's entertaining the crowd. A lot of players may not have liked having a mascot in the past, or playing music when a goal went in. Not quite sure what he is saying here, what they clap politely head of down the tunnels and we head off down the exit.

I absolutely love it and my son, who's 5 absolutely loves it so long may it continue. Remember it's a young team and the one usually leading it is a nutter but still only 23. Unbeaten at home, everyone having a great time, fantastic stuff.
Exactly this - my 5 yr old has been doing the celebration all weekend.
If not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled. PG Wodehouse

What was he like at Reading, any fakes around to ask?
I did a search on hob nob anyone using Mbengue as a term. A shaky start followed by by mixed reviews depending on whether he was playing wingback (bad) or CB (good) but ended up being considered one of their best assets and they weren't happy when he left.
The grass is always greener.

Mbengue is gonna get himself sent off at which point it becomes a bit less funny. Four bookings already so one more for a ban.
This.
We do also have to remember they are a young squad, and they will unfortunately have to learn the hard way. Just like Manning coming on as a sub and getting sent off straight away.
Mbengue will get a yellow in the next three games or less, and then he will be banned. This is when Cook will come in. And if he's back to his best, then Mbengue may struggle to get a look in. Even if Cook does not, ten even the mythical JCS could be in contention (no laughing at the back, or the middle or the front).
He's going to get sent off for sure this season. Some have to learn the hard way, it seems :(

Another imported youtube thing like "ultras" style chanting. I've seen it done here after a league games so it happens in smaller time surroundings than the championship.
Doesn't bother me as it probably helps bring players and fans closer together. We should be grateful that there's an opportunity to do it I guess!

When Sinclair Armstrong over celebrated his goal, thought it was way over the top, but if we are winning consistently, and players feel closer to the fans, all well and good.
Although when we win the FA Cup final or annihlate Rushden and Diamonds and there is no difference, its weird.

Scoring the last minute winner away in a local derby and a decent strike as well.
As against the whole team celebrating beating the mighty Stoke one nil after the game has ended, would suggest not exactly on same level, apart from that, good point, well made !!!!!!!
Seems an unnecessary thing to nitpick about publicly in a run of positive, attacking football and good results.
If it was the opposition doing it I might think it's a bit muggy, but if it's working for the team and the fans are into it, who gives a shít?
Of all the issues we've had it's weird that this is the time and topic to pipe up about!
His original tweet was in response to someone comparing the current lot to the connection Bircham, Gallen & Cook had with the crowd, I think he was just trying to say that the current one feels a bit forced at this early stage and they have only been here a few weeks whilst Bircham and co had a clear connection with the club and fans which took a while to build

My sons girlfriend lives near Reading, so he knows a few, and they were gutted to lose him.
I've got a work colleague who's a Reading fan and he said they gave him the nickname "Cheeseburger" as it was the first English word he learned, allegedly.
