Our Pitch 20:41 - Dec 20 with 6921 viewsQPRsince54

Does anyone know what's happened to our pitch?? All along the Stan Bowles Stand it looked like it has been under water since the last game. It's in a terrible state. Bit of a worry that we are going into the winter with it like this.

Does anyone know if we have those grow lights that most modern stadiums have?

Can confirm that we do - when i was at the club for the fans forum the other week they had a few grow lights out at various parts of the pitch...

Can we not knock it?

You'd want lamps on all week in the corner where MadBen does his celebrating.

Just wondering, would it help if we had one of those clear roofs that let light in?

They put them on again at half time when the pitch already looked borderline.

You borderline is way above what it used to be like and they still played on it. It will cut up worse in Jan.

zzzzzzzzzz

I believe that grow lights are often found in lofts.

Yes indeed, as a friend found to her cost recently. She let her top floor flat out via an agency, only for a roofer doing work for a neighbour to alert her to suspicious activity.

Her tenant had surreptitiously boarded her loft and installed a load of cannabis plants! Somehow, they managed to get the kit up four flights of stairs and set up without the neighbours noticing.

Her letting agent was mortified and very apologetic.

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

They axed long serving Dave butler who was head groundsman for 24 years a couple of seasons back

Poll: Now it’s slightly clearer cut who do you want as manager ?

Well, as it’s Christmas, and to redress the balance a little, I’d just like to say that Our Pitch is a very, very, very fine pitch (with two cats in the yard …etc)*

* with apologies to Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (Nash in particular).

One of Nourry's mates doing it remotely from Dubai now?

Shit but local

You would think we would have one of the best pitches in the country, with all the shite that's been on it the last few years

To annoy Leicester is my guess. They don’t like getting wet and muddy.

I always wondered what happened to Muddy Fox.

Absolute disgrace today not just the Ellerslie side which frankly was just mud, but pretty much the entire thing. Worst I’ve seen it for probably 20 years - What on earth is going on?

The pitch was utter dreadful today. Was like watching a game back in the 80s. My football team’s pitch is better than that. I’m pretty sure it was relaid last year as well. Another game on Sunday and then they’re playing a youth game on it on Saturday! Whatever they’re doing it is shocking. I would not be surprised if the grounds staff are working remotely.

Some teams have their pitch raised about 3 ft with decent drainage systems build into that 3 ft area.

It means that eye level is pitch level, so the front row of seats would need to be removed. The second row becoming the front row.

Not sure we would pay for that to happen, and a small plus would be the pitch also got ‘a bit’ of extra sun.

If that happened I’d be head of the queue for a front row sheet.Even more attractive if they raised it six feet.

It looked like a farmers field waiting for some new crops to go in.

Not exactly a glowing advert for the contractor….

Scooters, Tunes, Trainers and QPR.

Alarming state today. It basically looks dead, and they’ve put the roller onto mud. They then drown it before both halves, makes it like a skating rink. They reckon they’re going to play an U18 game on that before we play again on Sunday?!
