A good move by the club. I think he may want to play on for a season or so but even if he doesn't take this now it leaves the door open for him at the club. Initially I can't think of a better person to be coaching the U21s.
Whatever he decides he has been a massive part of the improvement of the club. Good luck Cookie and I hope you do return as a coach here to continue the story. |  |

I may have imagined it, but I'm pretty sure Stan Bowles briefly took possession of Steve Cooks body that night against West Brom when he so very nearly scored an overhead kick to win the game.
Great signing for the club, experience and quality. Done really well this season considering the injury he finished last year with, still more appearances than JCS. |  | | |

Well said Clive - couldn't agree more. The fact that the club have announced this in advance suggests maybe they have learned a lesson or two. Yohan Barbet this is not. Let's hope this is a preview of what's come on club supporter comms. I am now looking forward to being there knowing that we can say a big thanks and farewell to Cookie.
Couple of things:
the line 'a game in which Rangers conceded from the kick off, despite taking the kick off themselves' is pure comedy gold. Hidden away in there but utterly hilarious. It's fackin QPR innit.
Also - Clive Wilson - could not agree more. A more consistent, high quality left back I have never seen. Absolutely criminal that he was never picked for England.

It’s big headers, crunching tackles, and standing resolute in the face of a bombardment away from home in the last 15 minutes. F*ck off out of my pub!
