Saudi Arabia showed absolutely no urgency to win when they got to score goals and win

Perhaps I'm reading it wrong, but IF DR Congo beat Uzbekistan tonight, they would qualify with 4 points. Of the matches still not decided for third placed teams, a team from group K can only play are the winners of England's group.
This would leave the last three qualifying positions to be between Iran, Croatia, South Korea, Algeria & Scotland. It's hard to see how the results could go in Scotland's favour, but South Korea look in real danger. [Post edited 27 Jun 10:35]

Sorry mate, but the only teams I'd watch unconditionally are QPR and Hitchin Town. Otherwise I'm looking for the most interesting competitive match available.

Ive always felt smaller nations deserve a chance to play in the finals but qualification and how many teams are in the finals always stopped that. The new format allows it but I’m now thinking “how far do you go”,,,,,64 teams?…its already feeling like a mini season. |  | | |

Posted this in the England thread but here is what lies ahead if things go to form:
If we do get our s**t together (looks unlikely) then Brazil awaits in the quarters, Argentina in the semi's and no doubt France or Spain in the final.
Appreciate you have to beat the best to win the WC but I cannot see this side beating any of those sides in a straight knockout match unless we go to pens, at least we are better placed for them than previously | | | |
