There's no competitive advantage, but the less detail that you reveal about what you're doing the less that you can be held to account on it. That's why he does it.

I generally agree, but I don't think it really matters with the manager. Unlike with playerts, if he has a particularly bad run he will be sacked anyway. The more important thing is that his deal runs until past the end of this season, and there's a compensation fee just in case another team come calling while we're doing well.
Pleased with him being locked in though, a huge season ahead for him, Nourry and the board.

Yes and we can see how effective it is in the 70+ goals we conceded last season. I like Steve Bould, he's a nice guy, just not convinced he is the right guy to coach the defence, especially in this much more modern, faster, more physical era.

He was talking in the context of giving the fans more entertainment but it all sounded a bit Gigi Di Caneo saying we need to score more goals. No fan is going to turn down more goals but just saving that 14 goals projected from the new keeper's apparent greater abilities would make a very significant difference to our league position. It was goals conceded (and injuries) which did for us last season.

I like that one of his first objectives this season is to score more goals, but I do hope that to concede less is high up there as well!
Might a more successful attack mean - almost by definition - a better defensive performance? The opposition are pre-occupied defensively and our defenders are not under such pressure as they might have been. Please let that be true.

Does he do away games? Even if he does or doesn’t, our goals conceded column should mean he’s moved on.
Relatively comfortable with this - for reasons as mentioned previously, stability, 2nd season, knows the players etc... However I do hope that they are already identifying a successor should the the inevitable happen - we are either terrible and a change is needed, or if we are very successful and predators come offering beaucoup d'argent....
