I know the aim is to get the players fit for the season ahead, but that was a very poor 2nd half.
There were players on the pitch who looked like L2 standard, if that. Morgan Morrison, Lloyd, Sanyaolu, Ajdeti-Brew and worst of all, Adamson. The 1st 2 have played better before, so maybe they can get back to where they were before, but the others don't belong in a Championship squad.
1st half we looked in complete control. First choice defence until Mbengue got injured? Some neat passing and should have scored more than 2. Missed the first 20 mins of H2 but it seemed much more casual and slapdash. Not many of the H2 team have made much of a claim for a start against Portsmouth.

I've learnt not to read too much into preseason games but I do feel Isak Alemayehu has made a decent claim to be included in the first team squad.
He'll have to be eased in alongside more experienced heads though. There's a massive step up in quality from the Austrian 4th tier to the Championship. But agreed, I think he's earned his chance, looks very comfortable on the ball.

I think the last two matches are generally more informative. The first two seem to be about giving everyone a chance to show what they can do. By the last two you should have more of an idea who your first team is and who will be on the bench.

Salamone was particularly poor, they gobbled up and disrupted anything he kicked to the halfway, his short up the middle passing was read and intercepted a couple of times and there were multiple spillages and his name autocorrects to Calomine… made me itchy watching

2nd half was a shocker. 1st half much better. Again not clinical first half but general play was miles better.

Second half was a concern in that the quality dropped off, but also something Sinton said rings true - that we started both halfs in completely contrasting ways. The attitude of the first-half players was very professional, from the b of the bang. There was nothing stopping the second-half players having the same attitude, and only a few did.

He had a bad day. His concentration seemed poor for the fumbled cross and the goal.. Hoever, he was very good in the first friendly and hopefully, he'll learn from today's mistakes.

Isak - its very early days - his cameo last home game was decent and both these games he has shown he may have something, lets hope so. Nothing can really be known until the cut and thrust of championship football.

Sounds like what I am always banging on about Brian - attitude. Even against a DIV 4 team in a friendly we have to be bang at it or we end up in bother. Solving our ‘can’t be arsed’ attitude is the key to us having a successful season

Good first half - I really liked Alemayehu however Chair needs to make better decisions on releasing the ball and not get turned over.
A more bitty second half performance silly foul from Morrison for their goal. I hope we don't have to rely on Adamson at right back for a prolonged period next season and Morgan has plateaued and desperately needs a loan. I do love Alfie's endeavour and work rate.
Love the travelling fans looks like they are enjoying themselves and I am sure its much better than Blackburn away on a Tuesday night in November.

Just saw the highlight package on the Official site. Is our keeper situation sorted out for this year because that video yesterday did not inspire me. Realize its a glorified training session but we need 1 keeper to stand out above all else and dominate all year. Finally a stupid question did all the players come over to the away fans after the game as a thank you for the time and money spent following them abroad
