Obviously inspired by the current Shroedinger's player, Justin Obikwu.
Players who were signed ostensibly for the senior squad but never played (so the likes of youth players like the infamous Shimmin and Hislop are ruled out).
Number one is incontestably Richard Ord. Two years without a single appearance, never again played another minute of professional football.
Ned Zelic is also a shoe in, a club record signing who made four appearances. At least he was gone relatively quickly.
Armel Tchakounté: signed to help us along to the Premier League. Did he make an appearance? Even Wikipedia can't decide if it's four or none.
Taylor Richards: No one needs nor wants any reminders here.
I'm sure there are more belters I haven't thought of, probably signed by Harry Redkapp. What do we have?

Troy Hewitt.
That's a winner, Shirley, Kensal.
Certainly an excellent choice, but Hewitt did make one appearance in a 2-0 League Cup exit to the mighty Rochdale and then went out on loan a couple of times, so he doesn't beat Richard Ord.

WTF happened to him?
He looked 'raw' just on that little pastiche you served up, but his second was finished with some aplomb!
I took my son to watch Aldershot in about 2005 and Leroy was playing for them, much to my excitement. I don't think he scored but the Shots won and, if memory served, he seemed to have found his level.
On a different note, my vote goes to Richard Johnson. He played for us at the very end of the great 03/04 season and the start of the next one, but I only know this because he shows up in clips. I have a freakishly good memory for QPR stuff (and 80s music) but I honestly have no recollection of him playing for us in 2004. And yet I remember players like Rachid Harkouk and Steve Burke.
Suffering since 1978.

Played centre mid with Birch in the promotion game at Hillsborough.
17 games for QPR so not really sure he should be in this list
Wasn’t Bosnich only here as a scout? I seem to recall he recommended we didn’t sign David Stockdale from (I think) Darlington as he wasn’t very good, of course he went on to play in the premier league.
Didn’t we sign a lad called Simon Walton who looked very good in a friendly vs Fulham before breaking his leg? Not sure if he ever played for us again, think we sold him to Plymouth.
Ademeola Bankole played one game in goal and I still wake up in cold sweats thinking about it. How the hell he managed to pass as a professional goalkeeper I will never know.

IIRC we signed Clarke from Wednesday the same day we signed Jamie Mackie. Plymouth fans were all over the forums wishing Mackie all the best while Owls fans couldn't wait to see the back of Clarke.
Another from that season was Troy Hewitt, signed from Harrow Borough where he was scoring for fun. No appearances in two years with us before joining Walsall where his career fizzled out.
Even Warnock had his share of mistakes in the transfer market.
Warnock has a real striker issue. From 1999 onwards his highest scoring strikers in almost full seasons he managed were Bechio at Leeds with 19, and Gray at Sheff Utd with 18.
The next highest is 12!
For a man with an old fashioned reputation, it's funny how much his teams didn't rely on strikers for goals

Not totally right for this thread, but I believe Emmanuel Ledesma only played another 13 times for us after having a commemorative t shirt released, which feels very QPR

I saw Bankole play many times for Crewe and he was brilliant. Yet in his one game for us he looked as if tbe ball was radioactive. Inexplicable or an impostor.

Big time winner here was our very own boy wonder - TOM HITCHCOCK came on at home to Ipswich 83rd minute at nil nil and got the only goal of the game in the 90th minute, at age 17. Two yard screamer.
Had one further appearance in the EFL CUP the following season and that was that.
Much better goals to game ratio than our very own Rayan Kolli, but that was that !!!
