I felt as soon as Kone scored that first goal that Smyth's square ball to him might just be the assist of the season. Smyth probably scores if he takes a shot himself, but he realised I think the value to the team of getting Kone up and running.
About the only thing that upset me today was Kolli not laying off the ball to Isak who had an empty net to roll the ball into. I know strikers are supposed to be selfish, but when you're a player whose commitment to the team has been questioned publicly, that would have been a very good way of showing that the penny is beginning to drop.
I'd also say that we probably dodged a bit of a bullet today by killing the game so early, as I thought the ref was pretty weak throughout and a close game could easily have degenerated into anarchy.
Minor gripes really though. the whole day was just fantastic. |
Get it but Kolli needs that first goal too, I think he had every right to have a go at 5-0 would have been furious at 1-0

I said we would see a reaction today after last week’s defeat. That was some performance, over and won in the first 15 minutes.
Soaking wet and cold, but who cares!

Wow. I said to a Whammer before their game in the week that Swansea wont last. Brilliant stuff, Rangers.
Now I can’t help wondering if Jack10 was there today. Couldn’t find his thread but I do hope he was or he might never go again!
YOU R’s! |
Haha, thanks for the concern. I was absolutely certain my presence was the death note but so glad so be so wrong. Phenomenal. Smyth, Poku, Kone, Kamara all superb. That save from Charles at 1-0 was key.

He should’ve gone before for nearly kneeing that guy’s head off.
Rogers too should’ve gone for trying to snap someone’s leg in half. |
What is it with Chelsea players and kneeing people?

BTW…Adelaide has reopened, since Thursday apparently. Little differences, but plenty of staff. Lady on the door looked tough.

Do we have any idea what Kone was booked for? Watched it back and it's not on the video.

Just watched back the full 90 mins, with the Swansea comms team on it. A fascinating study in the human capacity for optimism and confirmation bias. I’d recommend it!

Yeah 3 nil down and ‘this games not over’ and ‘we’ve been the better side’.
Laughing along made their depressing, monotone commentary watchable

Every silver lining has a cloud. Thankfully I did not answer my phone during the match as the calls from my family were to tell me they had to take my best friend to the vets for the last time😔
Great dog. | |

MOTM?
Its gotta be between Kone, Smyth, Poku and Kamara, with Dunne and Charles having a decent shout too |
You cannot argue with a 15 minute hat trick. MOM = Kone. Virtually everybody else had good games, although Vale was quiet. Then pops a corner onto Dunne's head.
