That looked a proper team out there today. Lets give the guy some props.

We dropped 4.5 million on Edwards in January so for me we have spent a lot of money

We should be finishing in the play offs this season and anything less is a failure imo nothing wrong with having some standards and it seems Jimmy Dunne agrees with me

The only thing that will be holding us back will be keeping the squad fit.

4.5 million well spent. He's gonna be worth double that in a years time.

100% agree a fantastic player

Wouldn't surprise me if West Ham or someone similar offer us 10 million January

I broadly agree with the general sentiment of this thread - whatever criticisms you can make of Nourry our recruitment’s definitely improved - but “no Celar type disasters” is wrong. Nourry was appointed Jan 2024, Celar signed July 2024.

Yup I should have said “ no more Celar type disasters”. Which sort of illustrates that he’s probably got things right this year & maybe it’s gonna be rosy, maybe even milk & honey ( ok I’ll settle for just the honey...).

Surely that’s a typo and should read ‘Celar-tape.’ Useful to hold things together when goals dry up or body parts need some support.

Other brands available from most good stationery shops - and some shit ones too.

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

£4.5m is a lot to us but chicken feed for middle of the pack teams like Brum, Stoke and Wrexham. That would prob be a fairly average spend on a player for them.

Weren't we sponsored by them once? I couldn't bring myself to buy a shirt with that on it.

Don't know if this is petty or not, probably is. But I think I'm right in saying that Nourry's diktat specified 433, possession based football?

I assume that is no longer in effect?

I don't like him but that's not relevant, I think he's made some good progress in a number of areas, but I think there are still areas that are a concern and demonstrate a lack of experience, like his communication, but if he's learning from them and adapting great.

Where we are in 10 years will tell us everything we need to know, as we won't be a sustainable Premier League team in this stadium as it is, so I suspect the ground will be a major piece of the jigsaw.

I've been a critic, but many things have improved, I'm happy to admit it, but he can't be judged on a 5-0 win or even 3 seasons, it needs to be more long term.

Splits opinion because plenty of people won’t have him as a person. Down to how he got the job in the first place, how he presented his work history, how he/his management have treated various QPR people.

Do the ends justify the means?

Supporters tend to have short memories when we’re winning and long when we’re not.

Right now it’s tough almost churlish to give him a hard time because we’re doing well, young squad, popular manager, as good as squad as we’ve had for years.

If not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled. PG Wodehouse

I dont know if weve spent anymore then previous seasons, but our squad looks the best its been for over 10 years. Maybe the injuries are letting us down or so we thought. But the strength in depth is getting us through it. I didnt see the Brum game, but ive watched most of the others, and there's a vast improvement. Massive props should go towards Julien Stephan of course.

Indeed we were. I've got a Dennis the Menace Rangers shirt with a Sellotape logo low down on the back.

One of my QPR supporting friends had one too and his non-QPR mates were forever telling him he had something stuck to the back of his shirt .

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
