Thanks Clive, great to re-live that game.

It felt good then and it still does.

Can't argue with Kone with a hatrick, but Smyth was unreal and could easily have got it also. Loads of outstanding performances all over the pitch.

Poll: Will we stay up?

Fab Clive...you are right. No need to dilute the celebrations with any buts. Even then I thought you were a bit harsh with two 6s...

Superb report just a perfect discription of the stunning day you all had at Loftus Road another magic evening .
Is the Chicago Town 12 incher a Deep Dish or Chicago Style btw .
I suspect Paul Smyth is so angry at getting no minutes for NI he is on a mission to prove everybody there wrong .
Good point about JS being under the radar lets keep it that way he is excellent and I foolishly wanted a change last June what a dildo (me obviously )
Lets get healthy and really see how high we can climb .
Thanks for all the laughs pure poetry

Brilliant report.

"Ronnie Edwards, gliding around, never missing a beat, Glenn Roeder reincarnate."

He really is. His ability to read the game, his ability to carry the ball and his ability to break stuff up and split defences with passes or runs... if he can learn the shuffle he will be the actual "Roeder reincarnation"!

Mind you Glen Kamara is also very much "Shaun Derry MK2". Absolutely outstanding so far.

Never knowingly right.

A report as good as the game and the QPR performance but I expected nothing less.

I mean, I would have given the MOTM to Smyth but you can’t go an against a hatrick in the first 15 minutes, can you?

Brilliant read, can confirm Charles did indeed get a fingertip on the Idah shot. Remarkable save.

Another top report Clive. I loved the watershed comment, absolutely cracked me up. I couldn’t agree with you more, this was pure filth!! (The football and your writing - what a double!)

One criticism. You have needlessly raised the spectre of the manager being poached by a Premier !eague team. Please, don’t do that again. I mean, where would it leave us? (Bereft is the answer). Can we not, for once actually be allowed nice things’.

Looking forward to that report and didn’t disappoint.
Brilliant performance.
Vale did seem a bit subdued but he linked up with Kemper very well at times.

Should of backed yourself and given Star Man to JS. I know we all look at the players and wax lyrical about how well they're playing, but this is all happening because of the Head Coach.
The way he has them set the up without the ball, attacking the space and the research into the opposition all stems from him. He really is a top top coach.

It was a joy to watch Saturday.

Talking of JS and high standards he was, very animatedly, giving advice to Kamara in front of the Loft at the end before giving him a hug.

Top man Clive - What a way to start the week reliving those wonderful 95 plus minutes spent at our Mecca.

Funny but only after the event did I fully appreciate what a fantastic performance that was. After fifty years of following Rangers I carry so many scars that I was still bloody nervous in the second half. I think it got to about 77 minutes before I turned to my brother and said “I think the points are safe now”

However strangely I did feel reasonably confident before the game. I thought the players would be fresh and having carried the baggage from Birmingham around all week would take that frustration into the game and boy did they do that, snapping into tackles and winning the vast majority of duels and 50/50’s.. The weather helped too and the crowd was great.

As you say it was the complete performance from back to front and with our injuries that makes it even more encouraging.

My trainers are ruined but what a fantastic day out, another great report.

And well done slotting in the intro for Hawaii 5 O for the younger supporters delectation, if they get as far as the credits they’ll notice Kono’ appeared in that too, in the same swashbuckling style he shows at his best, on the pitch.

Yeah, I wasn't relaxing until 80 mins were on the clock. Best bit for me was when we were 4-0 with a minute to go before half time and Swansea were attacking. There was more than one person in the Loft literally begging the ref for the half time whistle.

It does it to you, this club.....great report Clive, thanks so much.

Brilliant report for an amazing afternoon. They don't come along too often these do they, but when they do.....

I don't generally pay much attention to the payer ratings but I was intrigued to see how Varane would be rated. I thought he was lucky not to have been subbed after giving away possession so easily twice in short succession. I think it was after the 2nd goal Stephan called him over to the touchline presumably to 'have a word.' He looked totally off it to me and have never really seen what he gives to the team.

I'm sure this will draw some ire as I know he has a lot of supporters, but I just don't see it.

Not gonna finish this on a negative though. I was not confident about this game given the growing injury list but Swansea just couldn't live with us. Superb team display and if this contradicts my earlier point about Varane then so be it. Got absolutely soaked and totally loved it.

Glory hunter, me
