| southampton away...match thread... on 11:36 - Oct 30 with 1781 views | BlackAndGoldRanger | For me, the best squad in the league with a very good manager, cheating aside. Going to be a tough game, fortunately it isn't on the back end of a 3 game week. It's the start of one.....would take a point all day right now. Think they will just have too much for us, 1 goal in it. 2-1 them. Kone for us. If we go there and win, I will start firmly believing something is happening this season. | | | |
| southampton away...match thread... on 12:07 - Oct 30 with 1675 views | derbyhoop | Probably 1 of the top 4 teams in this years Championship. Alongside Boro West Ham and Wolves. Very difficult. Be delighted with a point. | |

| southampton away...match thread... on 14:18 - Oct 30 with 1410 views | OakR | I'd be very pleased with a point, as would most I think, and they would probably be disappointed with one, which tells it's own story. Thankfully our manager doesn't believe in bonus points and will have a plan to try to win the game. We have a great coach and with a week to prepare I think we have a better chance than if this was a midweek game, or on the back of a midweek game. They are favourites of course, we will likely be light in central midfield or central defence depending on where Edwards plays, and Burrell still out, Madsen out, Chair probably not readt to start etc but am hoping JS has something up his sleeve like he did against Swnasea. | |

| southampton away...match thread... on 14:45 - Oct 30 with 1333 views | Watford_Ranger | I wouldn’t be averse to him playing the same trick with Smyth up front/off of Kone. Felt at Birmingham, amongst the various issues, there was next to no threat in behind so they were able to step up. Just forcing their defence back ten yards would be good and means that ball in behind is either on or there’s more space in the middle. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
| southampton away...match thread... on 15:56 - Oct 30 with 1189 views | Dorse | I thought we'd struggle against Swansea and West Ham. I thought we'd get something at Birmingham. In short, my recent track record is 'sub-optimal'. This may be down to sunspots, market forces, rank idiocy et al but I prefer to think it is THE CURSE, deliberately forcing its evil upon us. Well, no more! I shall thwart this foulness by predicting an 8-0 defeat for the Rs, thereby forcing THE CURSE to cower in the face of our righteous will and deal out a gob-bumming for the ages to Southampton, from which it will take generations to recover. Either that or, you know, 1-1 or something. Whatever's easiest. | |

Mrs FB and me have been giving it large about the error of their ways and how their elimination from the play offs was the only possible sanction for the spying on Middlesbrough.

But, we are playing a bloody good team who will know that. If we get a point I'd be very happy. I think Southampton will be top 2 quite comfortably at the end of the season.

Seconded I think it's our best chance of competing and getting a draw, not even contemplating a win, I also thought Cirkin could do a job unless there's a resurrection of JCS which would be very timely, very tough game today a massive test.
| southampton away...match thread... on 09:29 - Oct 31 with 171 views | DaBurgh | After watching a woeful Wrexham, who beat Southampton just over a month ago, lose to Sheffield last night, I am full of positivity. A good game ending 2-3, Ronnie with the winner? | |

Smythie also to chip in with a hat trick and Kolli gets off the mark too. So I make that 7-0 to the mighty R’s!

I bet you don’t wind them up at all! lol! My son is watching the match with his mate and his father at their house, both Southampton fans. He is expecting a virtual pummelling from them. I think a draw would be a decent result for us away. I’m going for 2-2. Maybe Ronnie in midfield, Cirkin LB and Kemper CB or am I hallucinating. Anyway I’m reasonably confident that Julien will set us up to be competitive however he deals the pack.
