And if RA doesn’t want his £1.5 bill loan repaid, what are Chelsea intending to do with the spare £1.5 bill, give it to Ukrainian refugee aid might be a nice idea.

That's the end of the trophies. For Chelscum read Arsenal and Tottenham. Not particularly interested in winning. Just making money. American owners dont do vanity projects!

Very interesting story online today it looks like Alonso has played his last game for Chelsea. He lost the ball against Wolves started to jog back when TT screamed at him to sprint and recover it. Apparently Alonso swore at him in Spanish and it got ugly in the dressing room at half time and he was subbed off . They will have nobody to play at the back at Wembley it looks like so bet on Liverpool to wipe them out early . All this took place in front of the new owner who has $5 Billion to invest

Big problem for them will be the redevelopment of the Bridge. Putin's mate all but gave up on the project partly because of the CPO, secondly because of the long drawn out planning rules in this country and thirdly due to the difficulties of getting access to the site. When they realise they are stuck with a 42,000 seater ground when Spuds and Arsenal have 60,000 grounds and Wham are about to extend to 67,000 and still could get to 80,000 eventually. And that's just in London. Liverpool are now extending to 61,000, Citeh will also look to extend to the same capacity and United are looking at renovating OT with further expansion. Then you have the Saudis in Newcastle who will no doubt look at ways into further expanding SJP, Everton moving to a 53,000 stadium and you can quickly see that North Battersea could be lucky to remain in the top eight unless the owners spend like the Russian Moneylaunderer did.

I don’t think Newcastle can expand St James’ any more than what it is now.The houses behind 1 stand are listed buildings,so the only way they can increase is at the gallowgate end,and they have the metro station in the way I believe.

Deal could be in trouble. I have all my fingers and toes crossed!
You ghoul! Yuk, yuk, yuk.
The source added: "There are deadlines at the end of this month and the start of June, which would either see the club booted out of European competition or the Premier League entirely.
Be still, my beating heart.

He wasnt the only dog in the fight though odd really they were so keen on him to be honest.
You also has the Ratcliffe bid at the last minute, the Ineos guy, worth a fair few quid.
Then also the Candy brothers and Coe and whoever was behind that.
Yes, but it sounds like the problem is between RA and the government, not with him. (Though surely there isn't enough justice in the world for it to go down in flames.)

However a senior Whitehall source revealed there was now "serious concern" that the oligarch was "willing to let Chelsea go under" over an alleged "refusal to agree to a sale structure that gives ministers confidence that proceeds would go to a good cause".
That is not a serious concern at all, and would punch a big hole in the reputation of the current owner who fans see as 'one of their own'.
