...ex players scoring against us? Wells has about 5 goals in a million appearances for Bristol City, but two of them were against us. Even Eze got in on the act during the summer. We will need to score at least twice on Saturday as Washington is nailed on to get one.

We've always been swines for that. Paul Murray scored against us for Oldham and Nigel Quashie for Forest and they weren't exactly goal machines otherwise. Simon Barker scored twice in 30 games for Port Vale, once against us.

I imagine you saw Washington's net buster the other week? Can't wait to see him return looking like the reincarnation on Christian Vieri and Fat Ronaldo.

Is there any truth in the rumour that trading standards contacted him and asked him to stop using the term 'Striker' ?

Yes, but Paul Murray did score the winner/equaliser at Ashton Gate to keep us above City & gain us promotion.

I think fans of other clubs also believe that their ex players always score against them!

Are you not getting your wires crossed Terry? Paul Murray left us after relegation in 2001. If you were referring to the 2003/04 season then Scott Murray scored in the game at Ashton Gate but he was playing for Bristol City and it was the winner for them.

Think he was referring to Paul Murray scoring for Oldham, at Bristol City, in the 03/04 season

And Washington scored the winner against Forest that basically kept us up - I always cut him a little slack because of that. Opening day following season, he scored a brace to beat Reading and I thought he'd finally cracked it. Sadly it was not to be.

I recall SWP's goal at Stamford Bridge, when we won 1-0.

It was his only league goal for us. I have never seen anyone looking as dejected after scoring (other than own goals of course....).

Think Paul Goddard scored a hat-trick against us for West Ham. Brutal.

We need Gordon Macey here with the stats on goals scored against us by former Rs versus goals scored by Rs against their former clubs. My guess, no statistically significant difference.

Clive Allen up at the Lane giving us a v-sign after bagging a brace.

All obvious and tee'd up by Stainrod in the morning papers telling all and sundry that Bannister was a better player than Allen.

Oldham won 2-0 at Ashton Gate on 20/3/04 Camberley with Paul Murray scoring. It was a 1-1 draw that season at the sun drenched Boundary Park!

I’d be surprised if we were outliers on this. We like to think that our experience as QPR supporters is unique. But really our football experience is no different than the majority of fans of most clubs other than a few massive (and horrible) clubs.
