Would Nathan Jones Change It? 09:01 - Feb 16 with 2702 viewsNorthantsHoop

Putting it out there, is Nathan Jones the type of manager to change it. Ignoring Southampton and Stoke where he was just wrong appointment, QPR lets face it are a similar club to Luton, he got them going, made some tremendous signings and works well with budget at this level and has a personality. Would rather he was in charge of re-building than Neil Crudley. Really marmite appointment but maybe what we need right now.

Nope. He absolutely hates us and has made no secret of it.

Never knowingly right.

They say it, but does he really mean it, does it to whip up the support base. As I say it's an option, we are so soft as a club and are getting our pants pulled down by everyone in this league, unless it changes we are slipping further down. Wanted Chris Wilder as an interim appointment rather than Crudley, but we were probably not an attractive enough option and probably even a worse option now.

No from me as nothing has changed within him. If he failed here, he has had it. I don’t have the answer, but absolutely not him.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

That's only down to us being the team he has lost most times to in his managerial career though Shirley?

As I posted on one of the other threads he's a massive bellend but he'd be our massive bellend. Like Warnock he's Marmite and one of those managers you detest when your club is against him but when he's batting for you it's a different story. Granted there were and still are a few of our fans that dislike Warnock even now despite what he achieved.

Southampton he was the wrong man at the wrong time and everybody fails at Stoke so I wouldn't pay much attention to what happened there.

I never thought I'd say it but a deal to the end of the season and if he comfortably keeps us up, see where we go from there.

Ignoring all the failure he had at Southampton and Stoke and only focusing on his success at Luton makes him the best manager if not in Europe then definitely in Bedfordshire. And he vamoosed from his beloved club not once but twice when the garden looked rosier elsewhere (remind you of someone of a warty nature?) This from someone who plays up his religious beliefs while demanding loyalty. Nathan Jones? Fcuk. Right. Off.

He has only succeeded at Luton, who have also succeeded without him. Which makes me think Luton's set up is the thing that is good rather than him

Might hate us less if he needs a job.

Reckon he'd be given a very short time before fans turned on him though.

I couldn't stand Warnock until he managed us tbf.

If his appointment were to ever happen it would be one of the two times I would take my season ticket back personally and set fire to it in front of the ground, the other one would be John I am a rascist Terry

I would walk away for his tenure and possibly others too if he were the chosen one.

Could you imagine how insufferable he would be if he turned down the job.

Mind you, it's not often one of Europe's all time greatest coaches becomes available for nada. That said, I suspect he's waiting to see what is going to happen with Ancelotti at Real.

I am fairly sure the hate thing with us was to get the fans onside making him popular with the Luton fan base. Whether he truly hates us is debatable.

The only risk is he looks like another Beale who will walk out as soon as a better option appears. However I cannot see another Premiership club gambling on him so it would more likely be a Championship rival to lure him away.

Critchley needs the opportunity to clear the decks and bring his own players in before being judged. However, he does need to show some flexibility and technical ability to stop the rot with what he has currently got. He could be in trouble otherwise.
