Looks like the same three that went up last season are coming back down. The gap grows. What's the point of it all?

Northern clubs going up and Southern clubs by comparison coming down, what’s not to like.

Just need to get Wycombe and Charlton over the line and a good late run from Plymouth.

££££££££££ these.

It's an expensive arse following your team about In the Premiership, financial stability for your club by just being briefly In the Prem, might sound good to some but not me.

Getting beat almost every week? no thanks.

Good away day St Mary's.

I thought they did £30 away tickets in the premier league? It’ll be more expensive watching your team at home than away.

Championship teams going up aren’t just stepping up a division - they’re stepping into a different sport. Take Wolves, the closest team to the drop, yet still 12pts clear, boasting a Brazilian international striker along with various other internationals. In the bottom 8 are Man Utd and Spurs - worlds apart from any Championship team - showing how ultra-competitive the league is.

Meanwhile, at the top of the Championship, we've got Sheff Utd and Burnley, spearheaded by Tyreece Campbell and Lyle Foster... WTF

Then the teams coming down - having already spent £70m+ on players to try and stay up - start with an obvious advantage. Some may leave, but parachute payments incentivise another crack, depending on risk tolerance.

The stars really need to align for a club like ours to become a top-division mainstay once again.

Trouble is that is three clubs with parachute money coming down with Birmingham and Wrexham almost certainly coming up who do like to spend money. That Stansfield at Brum is a better striker than anything we have and Wrexham brought in several experienced forwards so I think they will be fine next season. This makes it harder for us to stay up if we continue bargain basement signings.

They've already got a very good centre back in Ronnie Edwards they can look forward to playing alongside the millions they'll be able to spend

I was shown the egress and ejected forcibly by a copper at their old ground donks ago for refusing to go into a steel barred cage for away fans behind one goal.
It even had steel bars overhead. Sod that.

This has to rank as one of the worst premier league seasons ever, it’s been garbage from the off
That Manchester Derby had me reaching for the pro plus

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

We've been In that part of the ground drew 0-0.

We were moved to an area alongside the touch line for the next game where we took great pleasure In informing Matt Le Tissier that he had the biggest nose In the world.

He was brilliant and took It In good spirit and consequently ran us ragged.

I liked the Old Dell.

Having been chucked out, I bought a ticket in the seats just on the halfway line.
Trouble was, due to the declivity (ooh, get 'im), of the stand, everytime the ball went above head height, it disappeared.

If Pompey stay up they will have a rare Derby to look forward to.The first league one for years i think.Which raises the question when will we have a West London derby again.

Our problem is staying within the rules given what we have been through. When you think that teams like Luton, Portsmouth and even Derby are in a better position than us then it's a small miracle we are surviving at all. That said we have to look at forwards from anywhere next season. Can't afford another season like this one. Cue three more signings at right back!

Never knowingly right.

I read recently that Luton said they might have been able to stay up if they spent more money on players. So, that means more money gone from the club, who are trying to build a new stadium, and into the pockets of players and agents for what?...... another season where all the money goes into the players and agents.

If you take away the meaningless 4 point deduction for Forest (which didn't affect their final position of 4th bottom at all) then Luton, who finished on 26 points, would have needed to gain another 11 points (40% more than their entire seasons accomplishment) in order to stay up.

Nah, they did the right thing. Bank as much as possible in order to reinvest into the infrastructure and future stability of the club.

Ted, it's all very well getting excited by saints but we need a bit of a helping hand from him up above at the moment.

And that's going so well.

2 successive relegation?

Well, yeah lol! I thought they'd be around mid-table so something has gone a tad wrong. However, the point is they have money to get the new stadium underway which is really what their priority has to be.
I don't know the full finances but I wouldn't be surprised if the PL money covered a lot more of the new stadium costs than if they hadn't been in the PL or had blown all the money on players which means they won't be held back for years to come.
If they can get decent crowds they'll be able to compete better for signings especially with the lure of a spanky new stadium compared to Kenilworth Road.

Seems the obvious choice but if it doesn’t happen the bookies rate Liam Rosenoir and Steve Cooper as next favourites.
Marti Cifuentes doesn’t appear on the list at all: bookies think more chance of Rooney and Southgate getting the job.
