Alternatives.... 20:54 - Oct 27 with 4139 views | Gloucs_R | Would we even consider changing a manager and backroom staff in the middle of a pandemic? Additional costs that we probably couldn't afford in this climate. Apart from Pearson, I couldn't name anyone who would be interested and within budget.

Alternatives.... on 21:01 - Oct 27 with 2396 views | bosh67 | True. The squad is falling to pieces. We have a lot of players trying to step up and others with experience okay but not entirely match fit. Dieng however looks like the one real deal. I can't see the point in sacking MW. He has to improve 18 wins in 59 is not a good record but last season we played some great stuff. However he can't seem to motivate them through a pandemic whilst other clubs are playing on with no issues. Without Amos, Thomas and with Cameron lacking legs, BOS being a knob, Wallace out and Manning gone the squad is completely lopsided with very few players to fill in.

Alternatives.... on 21:04 - Oct 27 with 2336 views | derbyhoop | That's the problem. With no money coming in, a a new squad, without 50+ of last season's goals , I'm not sure any manager would get any further. It's not helped by Chair being off colour, Dykes isolated and not fully fit and the Dykes/Bonne combination not working at all. On top of that Carroll had a shocker, tonight.

Alternatives.... on 21:06 - Oct 27 with 2286 views | 100percent | I wouldn't blame warburton for tonight personally. We started very brightly. Dickie's mistake cost us badly. Apart from taking carroll off instead of chair, I can't see what else warburton could have done - at 10 men we are chasing the game. At least we attempted to go for it. Dykes chased every ball....... Dieng was definitely a positive. Barbet needs to start acting like a captain though, rather than a passenger...
Alternatives.... on 21:15 - Oct 27 with 2191 views | daveB | I think he's on his last legs with us, Brentford coming up soon they usually see a manager off. Tony Mowbray is a good fit for us but no idea what we'll do. Looks a very confused mess at the moment
Alternatives.... on 21:17 - Oct 27 with 2167 views | Northernr | This is the problem we'll have now. If you want to sack him, who is going to come and work with this squad, on this budget, with what little money we did have now spent. I've seen people suggesting Pearson, David Wagner and stuff like this - you're kidding yourself if you think they're coming here to deal with this. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Alternatives.... on 21:19 - Oct 27 with 2152 views | ted_hendrix | Posted this earlier as this is how I see it anyway. Isn't it about time time that the people who employed him 'fronted up too'? I can't believe I'm saying this at this early stage in the season but tonight was goddam awful. I'll get over it by Thursday but WTF is wrong with our cub? I just don't know.

Even with all that, Bosh, the first 20 showed the players we started win were FAR better than Barnsley and we still lost 3-0. More is at play here. I still think this squad is much better than bottom 3 in this league. Comfortably better.
Alternatives.... on 21:24 - Oct 27 with 2091 views | aston_hoop | Sometimes I think people aren't going to be happy until we have Tony Pulis in charge and spend £8 million on someone like Sam Vokes. Things aint perfect, in fact this new squad look clueless....but lets give him a little time at least. Its hardly a great time to be replacing the manager and there is hardly a world of guaranteed better options.

Alternatives.... on 21:25 - Oct 27 with 2062 views | Myke | This is hilarious, eight games in and the usual panic when everything's not rosy in the garden. 10 days ago Warburton was a tactical genius against high-flying Bournemouth. McClaren is often castigated for stunting the progression of the likes of BOS and Manning by shipping them out for his 'team of men'. But the reason he did was because of exactly this kind of reaction to the WBA and Bristol City results two years ago. Relax, it's not even November, nobody was ever relegated in October (or November) Unless of course, Klopp, Guadiola or Zidane are casting 'come and get me' eyes at Ferdinand, that's a different matter entirely.

Pearson would be my preferable and I don’t see why he wouldn’t. He’s a very underrated coach. Focused on marginal games. Good tactician (he built the system not just the players for Ranieri). Unemployed. Maybe looking for a Prem job, but doubt he’s really in the running for any. To be clear, I don’t want Warburton sacked. Not yet. There was more than enough there in the first 20 to give him 3-5 games. However, we need at least one win in there, and goals and signs of improvement. If he doesn’t get 1 win from 3 or 2 from 5 and one of the other two things, I think we have to make the change.

On a serious note, if you assume Wild Thing's mob are down (....), are there any other points deductions/admin cases knocking round the Championship this season to 'save us', other than Sheff Wed? I'm thinking Luton? Derby? Millwall? Brum (again?).

Not sure anyone on this thread had shown any signs of panicking. Just like minded fans discussing what if scenarios and chewing the fat. 8 wins in 26 or something like that.... That's not something any of us can be happy with. The jury is out for Warbs. Why would we not discuss the options?

Alternatives.... on 21:34 - Oct 27 with 1960 views | ted_hendrix | How come the fakes can employ a Manager who no bastard has heard of and yet they still manage to score four goals against a pretty good Blackburn side away up north on a cold and wet windy Tuesday night? Don't recall them bringing in too many players either. All the time disappearing over the horizon at the top of the league. Yes I'm bastard jealous. No I don't want Warburton sacked but FFS.

Alternatives.... on 21:41 - Oct 27 with 1907 views | baz_qpr | Problem is with this number of games there is no time to actually coach or change much other than team selection. We might need a punt on a short term bit of quality that is unattached as we did with Rangel. But we desperately need this international break , as plan A has gone out the window with injuries and (contract difficulties)

Alternatives.... on 21:53 - Oct 27 with 1829 views | VancouverHoop | Management change before Christmas reeks of panic and, poor as we were today, we're not close to that. Most of these players have been together for eight games, maximum. Unless we're in the bottom three or four in December then we shouldn't even be thinking about firing the manager. There are reasons for optimism (though they were hard to see this evening.) Willock looks handy, perhaps a better bet than Bonne to partner Dykes. Dickie will, with luck, learn that he can't get away with the stuff at this level he's used to. Mostly we have a decent squad with potential, but they're having to learn to be a team on the job. There are going to be bad days (today and Coventry) and better ones (Bournemouth.) We can't do much to physically support the team, but we can be patient.

Not a dig at you Gloucs, those are some poor stats. But why has some prick copied Warburton in to that on Twitter? What do people hope to gain from that? Stuff like that makes me uneasy. We have already destroyed the confidence of Scowen and Lumley
