I am obsessed with these two. Based out of Quebec, they use microtonals and a bucket load of loops to create something that is in the same ballpark as Primus or King Crimson. Love the hook when it drops in at around 2.05 - whole thing played in 7/8. Needlessly complex and utter gorgeous. Hook it to my fcking veins!!!

Discovered this one on Monday. Undeterred by my initial misgivings which were … Yoko Ono meets the Cheeky girls at a Jamiroquoi look-a-like contest in the Siberian tundra … I’m now playing it every day including first thing in the morning.

A strange one - years back I liked jazz/rock bands with a punchy brass section. One day I read in the NME of a band called Swegas whom they said would be one of the best jazz/rock bands around. I went to a record shop ( remember them ? ), and Listened, didn't rate them. Recently, I stumbled across them on youtube and realised I used to go to school with one of them.

It was/is a masterpiece.

Considering how much crap was around at the time (Kaiser chiefs, razorlight etc...) this album was a total revelation. Still listen to it semi regularly.
