I watched the last episode of line of duty and thought that was good. Undercover has finally grabbed by attention. I quite like some of the investigative programmes Stacey Dooley does. However I can't wait for the next series of people just do nothing.

I've been watching 'Foyle's War'.

Gentle stuff, English maidens with rosy cheeks, chaps with nice hats, Blighty at her best.

Fairly decent whodunnits, even if they always seem to follow the whodunnit rule that the crack detectives never catch the murderer until there's been at least one more murder.

I always think there's another detective off-screen, muttering "I'm better than him but they won't give me a case cos I don't have a hat".

Ha, what a co-incidence. Foyles War is our midweek-while having our tea programme of choice atm.

As you say, gentle stuff but very entertaining and because it’s a few years old now, there’s quite a few “oh, look who that is!” moments in it - not only the lovely Rosamund but Lily James was in an early episode. Even Danny Dire 🤣

Check out “Brian Pern” if you can - Michael Kitchen is just great as his crafty scheming manager.

I need a SAGA. What’s the SAGA? It’s ….. Queen’s Park Rangers.

The series currently showing on BBC - Kingdom is truly fantastic. Filmed over 5 years the story lines and the filming is incredible how they do it I honestly don’t know. Narrated by the master it is nature programming at its very best. It is also very sad at times as well.

Having watched Slow Horses which is written by Mick Heron I was keen to have a look at down cemetery road which is also written by Mick Heron. I’m not sure if I like it or not. Emma Thompson plays a unforgiving private eye not quite as rude as Jackson Lamb in Slow Horses. .

Enjoying 'Cambridge Spies'. Made by the Beeb in 2003 and it's damn good. I'm not sure how I stumbled across it but if it was one of you lovely people, then thanks.

It's the story of Philby, Burgess and Co. Strong cast, with Tom Hollander the pick so far.

Really very touching at times.

I can't decide either, Ladbroke.
Borders into the farcical a bit too often, maybe.

I hope the actor playing Mozart is better than Tom Hulce!

Worth watching for the music alone.

I barely remember the film, but Mrs S found the new version less irritating, though he is still the infuriating smartarse he’s supposed to be.

Not same quality of Slow Horses but like leads and hopefully will grow from here as second season confirmed. One character was absolute pants and out of sync with rest - he’s been great in other stuff Sherwood/Killing Eve but completely wrong tone here

I quite liked it….. maybe because I do like Ruth Wilson
Clearly not up to the ankles of Slow Horses though.

Got one more episode of Malice to watch on Prime.
Have enjoyed that more than I thought I would which is because I detest Jack Whitehall.
Everything about it is pretty good apart from Jac Whitehall actually!!!!!

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

The "Two doors down" Christmas special was quality, as I expected . It's available on the iPlayer.

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
