I watched the last episode of line of duty and thought that was good. Undercover has finally grabbed by attention. I quite like some of the investigative programmes Stacey Dooley does. However I can't wait for the next series of people just do nothing.
Legends (Netflix). Based in the early 90’s, a bunch of Customs Officers, led by Steve Coogan, go undercover against a heroin smuggling gang. “Legend”, in this case, refers to the back stories that the infiltrators assume.

Legends is excellent. Dealers vs Importers vs Customs. Actually Scousers vs Turks vs Tom Burke (Cormoran Strike) who tells everyone else he doesn't give a fúck. Just the final episode left and I'm worried about what's likely to happen to him.

Older hat - I’ve just binged seven series of The Shield. Loved it. I’ll give Southland a go, shortly
The Shield is awesome entertainment. Appallingly treated by network TV here, bounced around the channels, ended up on Channel 5, who kept changing the time they showed it.
I loved the bit on The Wire where Omar Little is watching The Shield with his boyfriend and cheering on Vic Mackie.

I hope they don't make another season of this. It was great TV, but the ending tied a bow around it and I think stretching more stories out of it would just devalue it

As a former black cab driver myself I was in two minds about watching this but I think it works because it gives the victims a voice and flags up the insouciance of the police (not for the first time) and not the piece of filth, whose name I refuse to mention.

Finished the last season of Tehran yesterday Whoever recommended it on here…… thank you! Wasn’t as good as first two season ns but a really good watch. I’m not sure it needs a fourth season but I hear they’re filming it now

Finished Scarpetta. I liked it. Agree that the flashbacks were hard to follow sometimes. And the whole space thing lost me, but overall I will watch the second series as they obviously left it at the end for another series.

My current viewing is 'For all Mankind'. - Currently Season 5 (had watched the previous seasons and really enjoyed it) - Next week see's the start of Star City which is a spin off from For all Mankind with the a view from the side of the Soviet Union.
It also has the brilliant Anna Maxwell Martin in it, for those of you that enjoyed her in Line of Duty. In this she plays head of KGB surveillance Perfect part for her to play in my opinion

That first series was an outstanding piece of TV, the only thing I've seen that I'd rank as being up there with The Wire.

Just started watching this, uncomfortable. The actor who plays the cab driver has talked about how difficult he found playing that role.
Started 'Man on fire' on Netflix enjoyable; I'm on episode 4, nothing special but the dude getting the revenge is good and I do enjoy a good vengeance story.

I found myself just as angry with the police by the end as i was with the cab driver. It's a brilliant drama though, captures perfectly what those women must have gone through.
The way they were dismissed and the underlying thing of policemen and women being told from the top what they should and shouldn't be looking into and dismissed, you only have to see the news today to see the crimes change but the underlying issues in the police are still the same
