I'm three episodes in - really like it.
Maybe it's becuase I love seeing parts of London on dramas etc and especially bit's of London and buildings I've worked in.
The skyline isn't for everyone but by Christ I could look at The Gherkin, The Scalpel, The Cheesegrater etc all day long especailly when set against the backdrop of Tower Bridge, Shad Thames etc.

Every episode they kept reverting to the dubbed version, it was awkward to get it back. It was funny that the Prince’s voice was much deeper in English while he was still a boy in the original. Didn’t spot the AI, I find streaming channels are often a bit off in the voice sync so I avoid focusing on the faces as it annoys me. | | | |

Just finished watching The Better Sister (Amazon Prime I think) - not so bad, not brilliant but a decent watch.
This evening I started Dope Thief on "Apple".
Now this I like. Two episodes in and it's got me.
Two robbers of trap houses end up treading on the wrong toes and there's alreadya trail of carnage being stacked up. In the midst of it there's some really good storylines and also quite a bit of dark humourous moments..... violence aside of course.
I notice Ridley Scott one of the Senior Directors and a face you'll know from Narcos and many other things being Wagner Moura.

Saw the first episode on Monday and wasn't sure where it would go. But the same could probably be said of the first episode of the Detectorists and that turned out to be compulsive viewing. So I'm sure Small Prophets will deliver. McKenzie Crook is so talented. His characters and storylines are very rarely stereotypical. You couldn't make it up .... | | | |

My daughter has had us watching Band of Brothers (Now/HBO Max) for the first time in about 25 years. Not only is the cinematography incredible for a TV series, but we've been staggered at how many big-name British and Irish actors were lurking in the background as short-lived bit part players. Simon Pegg was in episode 1, Tom Hardy and Michael Fassbender popped up for a few minutes but have survived, Stephen Graham has been and gone while James McAvoy and Andrew Scott barely survived 30 minutes between them as unlucky rookies. At least Damian Lewis and Dexter Fletcher got lines in more than one episode. | | | |
