| The queue to visit the Queen's coffin 22:22 - Sep 16 with 36243 views | Logman | I'm completely in awe of this. No event in the history of my life has been marked to that extent. Nowhere near. I have sheer admiration for the people who are making the pilgrimage and I am completely humbled just looking at the queue on my television, yet alone joining it. A shame that more time could not be given to make it more easily accessible but obviously there are logistics and rituals to be observed. I hope every football supporter in the land gives the minute's silence and national anthem the full respect they deserve tomorrow. | | | | |

| The queue to visit the Queen's coffin on 08:12 - Sep 20 by TheChef | Er yeah the great and the good filed in to gush. Alan Titchmarsh, Maureen Lipman... Dunno where they dug up Kirsty Young from, hadn't seen her on TV for twenty years. |
Kirsty Young has been very ill for some time now and was forced to retire from broadcasting temporarily, possibly permanently. She had Rheumatoid Arthritis that led to secondary fibromyalgia. I cared little for the gushers that you mention, especially Titchmarsh, and didn't watch them, but I saw Kirsty at the end and thought she appeared genuinely very emotional, just about holding it together.

ITV should do a reality TV where we swap him for Alan Brazil.

The witch hunt for those two is well under way, amazing how people can see a photo assume what happeend and despite being told the rather boring story just decide well I must be right anyway so i'm going to continue to get angry about it | | | | Login to get fewer ads
| The queue to visit the Queen's coffin on 14:41 - Sep 20 with 3738 views | Monkey_Roots | Everyone has a right to their own opinion. I have mine. Personally, when those sailors grabbed each others hands to pull that coffin yesterday from Westminster Hall, I choked up. I wasn't expecting to — in fact it surprised me that I did — but raw emotion is truth I guess. I also feel an immense pride in seeing those lads bear that coffin. I like that we have the Monarchy, I realise its mostly ceremonial, but its a HUGE part of our history — both good and bad. | | | |

I think it's the way they're maintaining they didn't jump the queue while admitting they used media credentials to jump the queue. I dunno about you, but to a lot of people, it seems a bit hypocritical. "We would never jump a queue".........."Ok maybe we didn't actually join the queue, but we had "official permission" by way of a media pass to use a back door, so it doesn't count" I'm sure joining the queue was considered and ruled out as an option for them, I'm sure they'd have done it for the good PR if their schedule allowed. Wouldn't say I'm angry about it, I'd happily take a media pass to jump a queue 99 times out of 100. I just find it funny seeing them squirm, and even more so because this is probably the 1 example in 100 where it's not really appropriate.

from what I've heard they didn't walk past the coffin and join the queue with the public, they just walked to one side so was slightly different and they were not the only people to do that, media from all round the world did that during those 4 days. For whatever reason people are angry at these 2 though rather than everyone else who did the same thing. Its very British though to get this angry about a queue.

I've always hated that c*nt. Well, not always. I happily ignored him for years. I remember him being on saturday morning kids TV but I wasn't watching whatever shit he was peddling. Then I became aware of him I guess 15 years later and suddenly he was a grey apparition. Fking guy looked like he'd suck out your life force like some sort of ghoul. Transparent, vampiric c*nt.

There may be. I doubt there is. I’m not doubting there are some high profile paedophiles out there and probably plenty no longer with us who won’t be discovered. I think it’s more likely this is being hyped up beyond the level of news it merits because: A) It’s very gossipy B) It pushes much bigger but less juicy stories about the government off the front pages and TV news headlines. Just my possibly paranoid theory.

This is a thread about a queue that Philip Schofield (And 'friends') became notorious for jumping. Threads about the Queen's funeral are available on this website, and this is not one of them. Slightly confused as to why you feel the need to try and shut this conversation down.
