For years we'd been crying out for some kind of technological help like this and when it arrived, it's utter schite.

People still talk about VAR as thought it's electronically automated. It's not, it's bumbling idiots in a room drawing lines with microsoft paint across a screen. So, the human element is still involved and clearly shown to be utterly incapable and not seemingly able to handle the pressure.

It has to work, 100%, or not at all. Try telling Huddersfield fans any different.

Thing that gets me is that the EFL was really strong recently saying they wouldn't bring it in and that it's basically not real football. They're completely aware that the vast majority of fans - most especially match going fans - are dead against VAR, yet they're prepared to go against them and force this shite on us

I don't want to have to wait to see if a goal was good or not, I just want to look at the lino or ref to see and react accordingly.

That sort of emotion is spontaneous. You wouldn’t have that feeling if you had to wait for a VAR check.

Coventry fans had that spontaneous feeling in lat seasons semi final vs Man Utd. Then they had the awful low of it being disallowed for a toe being offside.

..but how do you have automated offsides? Offside depends on two major factors, when the ball is kicked, and whether the forward is past the last defender. It's not possible to determine both with 100% certainty simultaneously. So stick with the quickest, least disruptive method which is the linesman.

Goal line technology is simple. Did the whole ball cross the line?

If they brought VAR to Loftus Road, I think I'd genuinely reconsider renewing my season ticket... Not only is the whole thing completely fckin shit - x10000 if you're actually at the games - but the thought of Championship officials implementing it would be horrific.

It has no business in the EFL and I hipe there's a way to block it.
