Knew he was going to get hooked at half-time?
Unpopular opnion here but he was very poor yesterday and partly responsible for a couple of their goals plus a few of close escapes we had also.Verane was worse but survived longer he should have been another half time removal. Shame about his injury though he is very durable while taking a lot of punishment and yesterday was no different another head clash he shook off. Have to put that loss behind us and turn the page

I understood starting him at Blackburn as clearly RND is having his minutes managed due to injury etc , but starting Field again yesterday seemed like madness to me when your actually left back is fully rested . And it was. Up there with the Esquerdinha choice against Ipswich

To be fair the previous 3 games Sam plays there we don't concede a goal so Stephan can't win can he?
Gus texted that he got an elbow to the head during one of the early corners. Field that is, not Gus. Though Gus may have got one too. I also maintain that Field got no help in that first half from left-winger Chair, or from left-sided holding midfielder Madsen. He was as isolated as a clothed man in a nudist camp.
These are factors, not excuses.

I agree Brian. Which makes the selection in midfield and further forward even more ridiculous. I can understand the reasoning behind not changing the back 4, don’t agree but it’s understandable. But why on earth can’t we put players like Smyth, Hayden, Kone, Kolli, Poku, Morgan….all who would have given some energy at the very least!

Can’t just keep “putting it behind us” and forgetting about it. JS needs to get to the bottom of our continued propensity to just not turn up in certain games and hand the 3 points over to teams that are there for the taking.
It’s always 1 step forward and two steps back. Unless we can build some consistency we will never progress beyond the hallowed mid table obscurity.
As a team, I personally feel we are just too lightweight and soft for this division, and the occasional win comes from the bit of quality from the midget brigade. The midfield is simply too weak and passive, providing very little going forward or defensively.
Ultimately, the squad is a bit of a mish mash of players that have been randomly selected over a number of seasons without a real plan of the type of team we want to be. Maybe JS can sort this, but it will take a few seasons to do it. Whether he gets that long is another matter entirely.

I don't think Field managed to clear the ball. A Norwich player got to our goal line with the ball but Madsen had tracked his run and blocked his attempted cross.

Beginning to think the issues with Kolli are more to do with persistent injuries than any shenanigans with the club hierarchy.
maybe he trains like Adel used to? Otherwise I don't see why he is not ahead of Frey. Did refusing to go out on loan p155 of the CEO that much?
*edit* Just read the link, where is he picking up the injuries? Has he been playing in DS games? I want to see Kolli get some mins so we can work out if he is bleeding good or not!

A mad idea - help a young player out, who has a lot of noise to deal with off the pitch thanks to his “representatives”, by being open about his availability to stop people putting 2 and 2 together in the vacuum of information.
Or, you know, don’t mention he’s had injury problems the whole season until December once the narrative is set.

Well I’m sure his Dad would’ve told everyone a lot earlier if it was an ongoing issue. I assume he got injured again last week. The club’s communications on injuries and availability have generally been a lot better over the last year.
