| Pompey match thread on 15:50 - Dec 26 by 7374Ranger | No real surprise that they scored and none also that it was another poor touch from Dembele that set it up - he had a terrible 1st half. A few minutes before the goal he had a chance to play a pass to create a scoring opportunity and gave the ball away instead. |
It was Kone when miscontrolled and assisted their goal.
| Pompey match thread on 15:54 - Dec 26 with 1044 views | Noelmc | Need some HT subs. Definitely Smyth and possibly Poku or Field for Dembele & Saito. | | | |
| Pompey match thread on 15:54 - Dec 26 with 1042 views | eastside_r | We’ve been absolutely terrible but I thought that we were going to get away with it, but no, amateur hour defending. No-one having a good game so far. Will Stephan change it at HT? Sadly, I can see us conceding again early 2nd half if nothing changes. | | | |

| Pompey match thread on 15:50 - Dec 26 by stevec | Anyone with pink boots in the Championship should have them stuffed up his arse. Disgusting display. The issue when the the front four aren’t showing or competing for the ball is what we see here, continually on the back foot. |
"Anyone with pink boots in the Championship should have them stuffed up his arse". As Christmas messages go, that's quite unconventional .

| Pompey match thread on 15:49 - Dec 26 by 1BobbyHazell | It was Kone mate. What's with the Dembele obsession, they've all been sh1t. |
According to the comms it was Mbengue but you're correct in saying that the entire team has played poorly. The concession of the corner that led to the goal annoyed me more than the corner itself. The Rs backline asleep for a hopeful punt upfield and trying to retrospectively adjust rather than being prepared and anticipating the play. Summed up the first half for me. Hopefully they can digest their Christmas dinner at half time and give us some presents in the second half. [Post edited 26 Dec 16:12]

Wow!! What a stat. Embarrassing

Again, it was Kone. I'm not trying to defend Dembele but he keeps getting named (sometimes incorrectly). They've all been terrible.

| Pompey match thread on 15:46 - Dec 26 by Superhoops2808 | No more than we deserved, Dembele again |
It actually stemmed from a crass giveaway by Mbengue, who's having an uneven game to put it kindly. Sadly, the game has gone as I thought and predicted. We can turn it on when we want at home, then this mostly half-arsed slop. At 30m, they'd completed 220 odd passes to our 40. Can't string a single decent move together. Not a single shot. Portsmouth are 4th bottom, whatever the manager wants to say. Some of our players need to grow up. I would hook Saito and Dembele at h/t - they're both phoning it in. We should expect better in the 2nd half, but will we get it?

It was definitely Kone from the corner, but they’ve all been terrible. Polar opposite from last Saturday.
| Pompey match thread on 15:57 - Dec 26 with 845 views | EN_Ranger | A lot of people coming down hard on Dembele and yes he hasn’t been great but it’s always more noticeable when he loses the ball, as he tries to make something happen when he has it. I’m not particularly a fan of his, but at least half the team were worse than him in that 45 mins | | | |
| Pompey match thread on 15:58 - Dec 26 with 824 views | QPunkR | There is absolutely no way Dembélé should be emerging out of that tunnel second half. So I fully expect Stéphan to allow him to keep mooching about ineffectually and passing the ball to the opposition for at least another 15 minutes | |

0 shots either off or on target. Quite the contrast from the trigger happy first half against Leicester.
| Pompey match thread on 15:59 - Dec 26 with 745 views | strikerace | It was Kone, not Dembele or Mbengue. I would pull Saito and Dembele for Smyth and Poku | | | |

I can't agree with that. Agreed that no-one in green and white is anywhere near playing the sport of football today, but Dembélé has been the worst of a rotten bunch, followed by Cook

Could be a case of mistaken identity (though I'm struggling to see how anyone could confuse Kone with Dembele) but the QPR comms said it was Mbengue. Also from the BBC website: GOAL: Portsmouth 1-0 QPR published at 15:46 GMT 15:46 GMT Terry Devlin (45 mins) Pompey lead on the stroke of half-time! Conor Chaplin's corner is half-cleared by Amadou Mbengue and falls to Terry Devlin, who rifles through a crowd of players and into the corner. Deserved reward for the home side's performance in this first half. [Post edited 26 Dec 16:02]
