The 3 sides of a match thread at Oxford 09:39 - Jan 20 with 28404 viewsE17hoop

Someone had to start it.

I just reread Clive's match report for the home game and asked myself why I'm going to this again tonight.

Bare bones, DS players filling the bench, Handsome Ronnie back? He's bound to score in the 1-0 win.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end

Would people prefer this to be Bennie and Kone up front or Kone as the 9, Dembele as the 10 and Bennie on the right?

Putting Esquerdinha in, instead of Field is a positive but very risky selection. Kolli and RND struggling for fitness, so no surprise to me that they are benched.
Cooke doing well to play Saturday - Tuesday.

I think they need, and will want the win more than us.
2- 0. But I'm usually wrong.

Technology advances, unfortunately humans do not.

I would imagine this will be Bennie as direct replacement for Kolli, so through the middle. I'm not sure he's best as a wide player. About time he had a chance as a striker.

Could be wrong but I have a bad feeling about this match after seeing the line up,bench is looking stronger than Saturday though.

Just seeing Esquerdhinha makes me feel easy I just dont think he is ready to make the step-up.

Decent options off the bench though as long as we give them time at the end

My legion of fans will be delighted to hear I'm off to the pictures to watch 28 Years Later. A post-modern zombie movie isn't very different from watching QPR right now if you think about it. My sympathies/admiration to those fans putting themselves through it live or streamed.

I'm hoping for another Vale cameo like the West Brom game.

Sometimes I wonder if the fitness team has more of a say in selections than the manager. It is time for Esquerdinha to prove himself and put in a solid away day display rather than a flaky one. I would have picked Edwards or Field back there myself, but hey let's keep the faith.

I presume Kolli isn't fit to start.

I wonder if any of our many assistants to the regional performance manager are getting a bollocking for the physical state of this squad.

Where I am. We're clearly decimated, they're clearly desperate. Would be certainly happy with another hard-fought 0-0 given the circumstances.

Good God Almighty.

I reaffirm the above - with bells on.

Hi all! Not posted for a while…apologies….you may remember me from my post about my great friend Rick who sadly passed a few years ago…..glad to say that his children have been productive in providing us with the next generation of R’ss …..maybe like many of you old uns on here are experiencing…..as for tonight…..I was at the game that never happened in ‘86 with a bottle of southern comfort smuggled in my coat……was 23 then……now 63…….as the game never happened then I cannot remember the result…..but maybe we can come away with a 0-3 to the R’ssssssss! Love to all and as I’m feeling generous with my kindness….to the cubical joint….listen and learn…..much love to all!

More like 28 threads later - before noon tomorrow.

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

Another lovely fellow, aren't you?

Never mind that a vocal minority of people agreed/part agreed with me about Stoke - as, indeed, did much of Clive's report. (Credentialism bias/majoritarian bullying strikes again!)

As I note, you can't beat football message boards, like religious cults, for scapegoating/projective malice, or (some) people deluded/self-righteous enough to think the individuals they scapegoat bear no resemblance whatsoever to themselves.

(My apologies to the many people here who aren't like this.)

So just the 2 changes. RND... yes understand that... but Kolli is a strange one. I'm feeling that JS is not a great fan.....

So we go again with Cook, Dunne, Kone and Madsen...

Kolli clearly isn't fit enough to start again, he's only just back from injury.

No. Nine bookings. Pretty inevitable he’ll get another one before the deadline. Annoying because I think he’s been avoiding doing silly challenges or pulling attackers back and then gets two bookings from stupid refs ‘asserting their authority’ when he hasn’t done anything to affect the play or other players at all.

Yep, precisely after I stopped lumping on him to be carded. I couldn't pick me fxxxing nose

Shit but local

Can we just put in a professional away performance and thrash these gimps? I’m still scarred from 1986…it was my 19th birthday that day and I’ll never have that again

With both RND and Cook unable it seems to play 3 games in a week , I think maybe sensible to bring in Esquerdinha tonight and Edwards then comes into the back 4 between Dunne and RnD on Saturday?
Saturday seen as a tougher game perhaps ? Or more likely our home games feel like they are treated with more importance.
So no doubt we’ll get rolled over tonight .

God forbid if Jimmy picks up an injury .
