Sent to Coventry (hopefully not again) QPR vs Coventry Match Thread 09:48 - Jan 30 with 33050 viewsSpaceman_P

Duty calls and the fans have pleaded.

If Ronnie is on the pitch we've got this given Cov's own dip im form.

Heart says 2-1

Brain says 1-2

Personally would take a 0 - 0.

No sky blue feelings, we had that last weekend.

Delighted with that - for me, especially post-Wrexham, the best whole game performance of the season. Cov weren't much cop as it turned out, but we shut them out apart from one lapse, came from behind to score two fine goals, and finished professionally after the ludicrous 7 extra minutes. We deserved that - both the team and, most importantly, the fans.

We'all enjoy that tonight, but after what's been a poor run, can we kick on from here now players are starting to come back?

Tim Sherwood on Sky Soccer Saturday reported more than once that it was a poor quality game; also that the pitch was dreadful. We know about the pitch, but - those who were there - was the football 'poor quality'?

The best summation of all - especially the third clause. Even after 30 years, the first thing that flashed through my mind at full-time.

Wonderful result - well done Rangers and Julien. Major boost for everyone.

Thought Bennie was good too. Did more than Dembele in recent weeks. Doesn't stop running and was popping up in some good positions. Vale as the 10. Just links it nicely

You might want to take another look at their goal. Did alright late in the game, but out of his depth for most of the time he was on the pitch.

It's more the case that he's a poor quality pundit.

Seven minutes, think I'll turn the game off, then it's finished as a win.

I did that last week in the 90th min when we were 2-1 up against Wrexham. Learned my lesson this week and stayed with the boys.

Thought we were excellent today, deserved winners. Kone beasted their defence and what a clever goal that was. MoM for me with Madsen, Vale and Cook close seconds. Handsome Ronnie was very solid as well.

Fully deserved. Great mental strength and team spirit to come back and win that. Their heads could have gone back to August but they dug in and kept playing.
I think its a pen CBS Network replayed it and he does stick his leg and hip out to stop Smyth get to the ball. Panel agreed.
Just need some bodies back. Dembele now looks to be out for a while. Hopefully Hayden ok.

Good way to get over last week which was still hurting.

U R'ssss.

Excellent response from the Rangers today.

Played bloody well, with some very good individual performances. Both scorers deserved their goals, that Vale can pass a ball, but what across from Mada for the first.

Hayden, all of the defence, Mads, Vale, and Kone earned their corn today.

Bloody well done Rs!

I think Norrington-Davies deserves a shout, he literally busted a gut to create the winner

Agree - He's far more physical than I thought he was and gets stuck in.

7 days ago tother minute virtually I was leaving the ground absolutely shattered and here iam just a week later... absolutely elated... is there anything in life that comes close to the swing in emotions than supporting this club

What a great performance and honestly I thought last week we played well also... just this week we seemed to have more energy.

Where do you start with the players... the whole defence was superb...and we kept the leagues leading scorers to one shot on target and that unfortunately was down to young Bennie

Cookie... was magnificent my MOTM purely by the amount of headers he won... RND best game by far for us.... Dunne.. well run out od superlatives for him... and handsome... luck charm Ronnie starts off with a win

Both Madsen and Hayden dominated.. Hayden another player to have his best game... and Nico is going to make us a lot money... he is class

Vale also excelled and Kone was magnificent... he tortured those CBs ... and Smyth was his usual pain in the @rse for teams.... every team should have a Smyth

And youn Bennie, perhaps he should have done better with the goal... but I thought he was good... and as the game went on he grew more into it... well done lad

Only negative is Dembele's injury.... and JS not using the subs more

But what a difference a week makes .... you Rrrrrrsssss

Honestly, yes. The moment we produced a bit of quality we got the two goals. It was exciting though.

I thought Coventry, bar a 10 minute spell 2nd half, were a poor side.

Agree, generally he was good but 3 big moments he should of done better. Their goal, the header and the shot across goal. He is still young though so will only get better.

Just starting out in the league. I'm comparing him to Dembele who has experience of English football for some time and this league. Felt he offered more and gave more energy. Yes he was sometimes slow to make decisions but he'll get up the the speed of play. Just thought he offered more

Was a great performance. We were decent first half and i thought we would pay for the fact we werent ahead. Goal was about the only thing they did. Seen seven or eight teams that performed better than the league leaders did today.

Superb first goal. Fantastic finish by Kone and lovely to see Madsen bang in the winner. Both played really well.

Cant see why there were a few on here criticising Bennie. Most around me today enjoyed his performance. i felt Bennie could potentially struggle at this level but for me definitely his best performance today and was a presence and never stopped running.

I was dreading a repeat of last week, but we held out comfortably today. We need to pick up now on our away performances and actually get on the front foot. Am looking forward to Charlton under lights on Friday night. Great if we could get a win before everyone else has played at the weekend.

C'mon you Rrr's...

Lets face it guys todays win makes up for last weekend cos realistically we all felt we'd win that and lose this... so we're on the points we should be.

The universe has realigned.

I'm now going to message Matt the Coventry fan and tell him to see us again in the championship next year.

That's it, support the 19yo. Jeepers. Perhaps look at Smyth for the goal, or RND, neither of whom stopped the cross.

I think Bennie looks good. Will definitely be in the 1st team squad next season.

I hate being 2-1 up with meaningful amounts of time left on the clock. It's too much tension.

If we win though, I'll literally cum oil.
