Hearts are my Scottish team. My long gone Dad was a fanatical Jambo. He took me with him to Tyncastle when I was very young. We lived just 10 minutes away. It's a great stadium today, and not unlike LR.

Not really a mystery as it us clear that Celtic are favoured by the officials and SPL, Hearts should have home advantage as leaders at the split.
That should not have been given as a penalty as there is no clear view that it was handball.

Piss poor decision . Coming from an Irish catholic background it’s traditional to back Celtic however the sectarianism that exists between Celtic and Rangers is quite tiresome and at times sickening.
I’m ambivalent to the whole thing now.
Would be great for Hearts to go on and win it and let’s be honest it’s been a fantastic battle for the title.

I'm glad someone started a specific thread on this - I wasn't sure because QPR is and all that matters. But this epic story in Scotland sooo deserves it.
Like another poster(s), Hearts have always been my Scottish team, ever since the horror of 1986 - maybe its a sort of solidarity with a club whose gut-wrenching Dundee experience kind of mirrored our own 10 years before.

Look I hate VAR, especially the fingernail offsides and also the change in rules where accidental handball results in so many penalties. But by those laws I actually think it was the correct call (don't worry I'm prepared for the negs). He goes up with his hand over his head which is risky to say the least. Celtic were probably never going to score and have been handed a much better chance of winning the league than they otherwise would have had.

Funny how Celtic have had all these decisions go their way in the last couple of weeks. Law of averages would say one of them goes against them. Maybe that 'll happen on Saturday?

They didn't show the ref the close up as there isn't one, When you zoom in the footage is very blurry.
from the footage he was shown there was no way he can overturn that and give a penalty especially in the very short time he spent watching the footage.

Ref went to the monitor, barely looked at it and made the decision within 20 seconds. Nice brown envelope waiting for him in the changing room I'm sure. It's been happening for years. I expect more dodgy decisions at Parkhead on Saturday.

I really hope Hearts can get a result at Celtic, but no doubt the established order will contrive against Hearts to ensure Celtic get a win, when some form of VAR/refereeing decision is required. Everything seems to be so loaded towards the entitled clubs, and VAR another example of this.
