I mean there is a chance there could a serious issue going on which the club wouldn't be able to tell us anyway but really it's a lot more likely that he's picked up an injury. This thread kind of shows why this forum is becoming a laughing stock at the moment. |
I do apologise, I just raised this as a discussion point as it has been an issue that the club seem to have a high hit rate of signings that are ling term injured or not available for selection. There was no malice towards the player or the hierarchy. Just thought it was a valid discussion on a QPR football fans forum, but i have been told otherwise by quite a few of you on here.

Well, not just him, and not just this thread. As DaveB says higher up I don't like seeing this forum get dragged and taken the mick out of because it's my baby and something I've put a lot of time into.
A lot of the Taylor Richards stuff was legit, and I get it's like being in a relationship where one of the parties has told a big lie in the past you're always suspicious.
As far as I know Obikwu has just been really, really unlucky with injury since he got here. He's a young lad, probably as frustrated as everyone else. I think a bit of 'does he really exist' pis taking is fine, questions about our treatment of injuries overall totally legit, but when we're getting into outright conspiracy theory (and I've had to delete previous threads wildly speculating on other potential reasons with him) it's not on really. Or legally safe in some of the previous cases.
Just, like I say, think before posting.

Am not against Obikwu in anyways, just wondered why the club cant seem to learn from certain mistakes. That was all this was about. I am unsure as to why posting that here Clive drags the forum into disrepute or otherwise. And obviously am very aware, he is a young lad trying to make his way. My point was nothing against him in anyways. Obviously hope he gets on well completely.
There are plenty of aggressive posts on here, that can get personal. I have only really had any major issues with one poster, myself and have always attempted to be civil.
I just cant understand why we cant speculate on here as its just a discussion forum about QPR.
But I wont post anymore simply Clive, as I am unsure as to what I am doing wrong but yes its your forum, i wont put it in what you consider jeopardy, if thats what my posting does.
Feel pushed out though, which doesnt make me feel great at all.

I appreciate the club don’t help with all the secrecy and “competitive advantage”, and I have told them that given it doesn’t do the player any favours in these situation either, but like I say if we can keep the conspiracy theories down to a dull roar that would be great. |  | | |

Numpty you've completely changed your tune since the OP.
You clearly alluded to a belief that he may not be injured and that the club may be covering up another issue by using an injury as a 'smoke screen'.
There's absolutely no evidence to suggest he is actually injured at all let alone that the club is covering up some other sinister issue with the guy. That's the issue with your thread.
Acting like the victim after the fact and claiming your point was about the stringency of our medicals is just gas lighting. The old bait and switch.

Seems Clive doesn’t have a problem with your thread, just the way it’s panned out which, given the clubs inability to be willing to communicate, only encourages wild speculation.
I doubt we’ll see much of this fella anyway. Turned up to find Kone a level above him, likewise Burrell now he’s fit and his Rangers bench replacement at Lincoln, touted by their fans as a far better version of his good self. Oh and then there’s Kolli.

We have had players in the recent past that have been signed and for whatever reason don't really surface or just move on. Remember the loan signing of Mlakar from Brighton and the Danish lad Ramkilde to name a couple. The one we really want to see push on this season is Kwame Poku as he was seen as a big deal when we got him, but he had been hampered by injury problems. Obikwu never really heard anything about him before he was signed in January and because we have never seen him in a QPR shirt in a competitive match I tend to think it is worth focusing on players we know about that have featured for us, until I see Obikwu actually play I will pass judgement on whether he is a dud or not. |  | | |
