Bernie Ecclestone, 95, arrested for ‘illegally carrying shotgun at airport’ after landing in Portugal on private jet. Second time in four years apparently.
Four years ago also avoided a 17 month jail sentence for failing to declare £400 million of his assets. It was suspended for two years as he paid £652 milllion to become a good boy again. Yet occasional benefits fraudster or individual syphoning off £10k of company funds gets sentenced for four year sentence and has to do their penance locked up. £400 million stashed away, clearly the lesser crime. Fool's justice.
Second marriage, wife was 28 years his junior. Current wife 46 years his junior.
Had a child only last year, Ecclestone being 94 years old, when his most recent offspring was born.

I was on a flight recently and on the entertainment service there was a multi-part documentary about him; unfortunately ran out of time to finish them all but it was a good watch. Suffice to say he's a bit of a sharp operator, surprise surprise...but the stuff about Formula 1 in the 70s and 80s was great and seeing the huge business he's turned it into.
Seems it's available on HBO Max for those who subscribe.
