Agreed. Ridiculous to even compare the two of them. If multiple sources are saying that Kolli needs to improve his attitude then It becomes hard to ignore. I doubt Julien would have spoken so passionately if he thought it would risk his relationship with the rest of the squad. It's clear that hard work is a non negotiable. That's how it should be. I missed the start but was all quite positive and interesting.
Nourry seemed a lot more human in how he communicated and spoke well. The injury bit was still a lot of noise and excuses but look we'll have to see how the season goes with that, anything said now could look daft in a few months. Hopefully they've got it right this season | | | |

Certainly faults on both sides with Kolli but going forward as a player he needs to get his head down and make it really difficult for the manager to leave him out, be the best version of yourself on the training pitch and in development squad games, opportunities will come if he does that. | | | |

I was out watching my Grandson train at Wealdstone so I missed much of the first half......watched the 2nd bit and I now know why I do not bother to go to these events any more......what a load of proper 'tosh' questions asked!!!! No wonder the football boys on the panel fuxxed off!!!!

I agree.
I thought Nourry looked more relaxed than he has in previous forums and interviews. Maybe he's had some media training!! But he did seem to go with the flow rather than searching for a very precise answer or maybe trying to remember something he had previously rehearsed, which is often how he comes across.
I thought the answer to the injuries question was a very considered and thoughtful response. But then he said a few things about the demands on players and the intensity of games and frequency of fixtures that I already agree with, so I guess I would accept his answer there. It didn't really address why we still have chronic injury problems, but at least they didn't try to hide behind made-up numbers like "90% availability".
I thought the Kolli question was met head on and also dealt with fairly well, albeit with the proviso that we haven't heard Kolli's side of the argument. I thought it was telling that the post-season review went from Kolli wanting more minutes straight into "OK, you need to go out on loan". That probably made clear to everyone where Kolli sits in the pecking order, but with Kone and Burrell both hitting double figures could Kolli really expect to be picked ahead of them!?
I didn't agree with everything I heard but I thought there was less evasion and BS than in some of the recent forums. |  | | |

Adel wouldn’t get into ANY modern day team on a regular basis: times have changed. And apart from under Warnock he struggled to get regular football under many other managers. |  | | |

Sounds like it.
He wasnt happy to not be selected. It happens.
Was told the reasons ie lack of effort in training, compared to all other players as hinted by Jimmy about training attitudes of Lloyd and Adamson.
He wanted more time in first team and was told by many in the hierarchy including Stephan, he needs to work harder to guarantee more opportunities.
The club managed to get six or seven different clubs, some in England and some abroad, who wanted to take him this season so he could get week in, week out football guaranteed, but Kolli himself turned them all down, the last one only being this week due to transfer window, closing in that country just now
Stephan said the door is always open and stating Kone has not been as fit as required. They are working on this and he will return after the international break, all being well. However Rayan has not shown any such comittment.
It is obvious that the squad do seem to all give it their all, but if a player that is still only a young player with limited experience feels he doesnt want to do as all the rest of the squad, it sends a poor message to all other players.
But if he had six or seven offers and he turned them all down ,but then also thinks he is above training to the level of all other members of the squad, then despite his goal record, personally I agree with Stephan and Nourry, he really needs to take note, get his head down and do as the coach and others want him to do and he still has that opportunity.
Its not great though. He wont have much of a career, if he thinks better than all of his coaching staff and club hierarchy. He would do the same elsewhere. He had opportunities elsewhere probably league one at best, but Kieran Morgan has moved this year despite having 50 odd championship appearances. He needs get his head take note and get into the team the right way, clearly currently he is doing none of that.
But they are open to using him, provided he puts in the work.
Completely fair, I say.

Dunne was asked, "What is it about the culture of the club now compared to when you joined which makes you more excited and confident that we can achieve something this season?".
His answer was that how much people want to come and be at the club now. He was complimentary about Alfie Lloyd and Kealey Adamson and their work ethic, in a roundabout way said they aren't that talented, but can't imagine that was his intention.
Really surprised the Kolli question was asked, can only take what Nourry said at face value but of course only getting one side of the story. Interested to know if it was communicated in that meeting that he wasn't going to be first choice/couldn't guarantee minutes this season and therefore they immediately looked at Loan options, or just left it open that he could go if he could be guaranteed more minutes somewhere Kolli and the Club found suitable to continue his development. Begs the question about why it appears he was kept away from the group in pre season barring the first week or so where he was very visible in the clubs content, and not afforded the same chance as everyone else to prove he should be getting more minutes. The 1-2-1 happened at the end of last season so what went wrong after the first week back? Was his fitness testing on return unsatisfactory? Did he pick up an injury and couldn't go on the Tour? Or was he just banished to try and move him on? Still not crystal clear enough to make an educated judgement on the saga for me.
Stephan went off on a bit of a tangent, and as he didn't answer directly solely about Kolli but rather just the general standards he expects, it's going to leave more room for the accusations of poor attitude and conditioning for those that want to believe that, so wasn't very helpful. If the Door is always open and he loves Rayan as he said (as well as all of his players), then let's hope he can start to be reintegrated if he's given a fair crack to meet such standards, and takes it.
