It’s less deep than that, it comes down simply to the fact that some were in the room with the chairman some time ago when he said, very off the record and off the cuff, that Kolli would never play for the club again so long as he was in charge. And some weren’t.

Not sure if this has been reported on this thread much as it has been focused on Kolli for pages of it - but the "what is happening about the stadium?" question was raised, a couple of times if I remember. To me whilst CN said nothing, his body language, especially looking down and having a quiet smirk/chuckle to himself as if "here we go again" did say something. He also said that for much of it he 'cannot comment on' - which would indicate that there are at least discussions. He also mentioned that now that the Cat 1 academy application hard graft has been done and been submitted that the next focus would move on to the stadium.

| Fans forum tonight anyone going ? on 16:45 - Sep 17 with 2117 views | TK1 | Maybe the other possibility with Kolli is that: ...last year a senior member of staff told him publicly in the club's canteen that he'd never play for the club again (for some reason); in the summer he was told to find a new club, on loan or otherwise; he became upset with the club, didn't really focus in post-season subsequently; now he's watching Lloyd and Scarlett play ahead of him, just as he watched Bennie last season, believing none are as good as he is, that sense of injustice hardening alongside fans in away ends, Lloyd spooning another chance wide... And here we are. That story has as much weight in my mind as the story we heard last night. Both could be true at once. Nobody asked about the canteen story, did they? It would help explain, as an origin tale. | | | |

There’s no sugarcoating it, Kolli is the proverbial bad apple with a bad attitude. I’d give him 2 months to turn it around or he gets bombed out. The new standards and expectations have been set. Everyone appears on board, except him. Make your choice sunshine.

Ok, I'll bite When you say some time ago, can you be a bit clearer on time lines? Kolli was fully part of the match day squad and starting games in April this year. Unless the comment is much more recent, it doesn't look like there was ever a clear instruction to not play him.

certainly been fault on both sides but we can play the blame game or try and find the solution, Kolli just needs to get his head down and make it hard for the manager to leave him out
| Fans forum tonight anyone going ? on 17:14 - Sep 17 with 1892 views | Third_Division_South | I would assume the end of season sit down with Kolli and Morgan were very similar- you probably won’t get many minutes next season due to the players in the squad who are in front of you. For Kolli this would be Burrell and Kone and we’d like to send you out on loan to get those minutes elsewhere. The responses must have been different because Morgan went on preseason and got his loan. Kolli was left behind and is still here. The only thing he can do now is bust a gut in training and force the managers hand. | | | |

| Fans forum tonight anyone going ? on 23:38 - Sep 16 by Ned_Kennedys | A place on the bench should be earned: I trust Jimmy Dunne when he talks about the efforts put in by the squad in training and the players’ desire to prove they deserve a place in the team so allowing someone who clearly isn’t doing enough to be a sub gives off totally the wrong message. Seems if Kolli gets his head down, works hard in training, gets selected and plays well for the Development team then he might get back in the first team picture: down to him. |
True, but Kone hasn't exactly earnt a place on the bench either. When I have seen him play in the games so far, he has looked slow and not to interested in the game as much as he did last season. I am not saying Kolli is blameless just that rules and standards should apply to all the players. It could be that the issues are more than his attitude in training.

Dunno about that. Felt the door was closed last night. We'll see, but they'll redouble efforts for a Jan loan I reckon.Something's broken. When Nourry said the last window Kolli could've made use of closed last week...Saudi closed on the 6th. Greece closed this week, but feels less likely. CN looked disappointed with that, so reckon a chunky Saudi (loan) fee was in the mix.

| Fans forum tonight anyone going ? on 09:24 - Sep 17 by EuroRanger | I'm a bit baffled that we've asked the club to be honest about Kolli and they have been as honest as they can without airing dirty laundry in public. Yet some on here are arguing that we're crazy to believe that story and instead that there's a grand conspiracy against him that involves not only Nourry but also Stephan and Jimmy Dunne. It's more likely that a young player isn't doing what they need to be doing in training. Hopefully he'll turn it around and we'll see him bang in more goals for QPR. Also was pleased to hear about Lloyd and Adamson - both have come back playing much better this season. I hope Lloyd can start finding the net, and I'm personally pleased that Adamson appears to have become a very serviceable fullback - very happy to eat some humble pie on that because I wrote him off. |
At different times we've asked for honesty and for the club to set high standards for those on the pitch. We seemed to get the former and the club seems to have set the latter. Good. You can't make exceptions. As for Kone, I've heard a bit about his attitude from a friend who has a contact within the Wycombe set up, and it was all really positive.

And here we go again, belittling Lloyd again. I’m bored of the Kolli debate but why on earth does Lloyd get dragged into it. Hes done everything that’s been asked of him. I’d rather trust and believe Jimmy Dunne and what he said about Lloyd and how important that is, than any of the so-called ITK stories about other stuff regarding Kolli. The love for Kolli blinds some of you to taking the piss out of a young lad who really doesn’t deserve it. [Post edited 17 Sep 19:20]

| Fans forum tonight anyone going ? on 19:20 - Sep 17 with 1378 views | ViewFrom165 | As a few people replied directly to my posts I'll try and address those and do one last swoop on the Kolli situation and the takeaways on it from last night instead of spamming loads of posts individually. daveb - Kone pretty much had a full pre season despite coming off against Fiorentina, he got plenty of minutes after. Yes there seems to be some sort of knock that has troubled him, but he has been afforded the chance to play whilst clearly unfit, and it's pretty damning that he's been pulled from Matchday Squads to get to an acceptable level of fitness now. He's also continued to train with the First Team to be able show that he's getting up to speed, and not made to train away from them like Kolli has, that's where the double standards lie. Nobody is questioning Kone's attitude despite his poor condition, but you're happy to state Kolli must have an attitude problem as a reason for him not being involved. This is a narrative that's been peddled for a long time that's really unfair, unproven and unhelpful. numptydumpty - Nourry said Kolli "expressed his frustration about his lack of playing time" last season, not explicitly that he deserved more, there is a huge difference to what was said and how you have interpreted it. He then went on to say that if more minutes couldn't be guaranteed than Kolli himself may have to look at options elsewhere. If that was the case that does show some naivety from Kolli, and Stephan rightly made a point of saying he can't guarantee anyone playing time. cpgerber - Nourry said that a Loan move was an option that was considered by all parties and inroads were made in to that from both sides, not that it was a definite solution. Kolli is well within his rights to take pre season to see what options presented themselves, and not go if he didn't feel the options were right for him. My question is whilst all that was happening, why was he not taken on the Tour and then not allowed to train with the first team to prove himself fairly like everyone else was? nix - You picked apart one of my older posts for being full of assumptions and you've pretty much done the same mixed in with your own opinions based on how you view the situation with both Kolli and Kone. That's completely fine, but I respectfully disagree with most of them. I echo the sentiments in 1JD's replies to you, it's so tiring to keep seeing people say Kolli has an attitude problem, that he refused to go out on loan, that he's arrogant for not wanting to, that he's disruptive and must be a bad egg around the Squad. There is not one bit of concrete evidence to suggest he's any of those things. Your Kone V Kolli comparisons highlight exactly why Kolli would have been asking questions about his playing time, I'd be pissed off too if Kone's poor performances were given special dispensation and scrutinised in a completely different way, why should he get a free pass? A40Bosh - I agree with you that Julian spoke passionately and compassionately, but my point is that by him speaking more broadly to (rightly) not dig out Kolli publicly, it's given everyone that likes to assassinate Kolli's character the chance to keep perpetuating their narrative's about his attitude etc. I would have liked to have asked why he hasn't been allowed to train with the first team to impress and reach those standards full stop. If it was a case of his future being up in the air and he could have potentially joined a rival Championship side as rumoured then fair enough, but is he going to get a chance to reintegrate with the Squad now the windows closed? Wombat - If you had been isolated from your colleagues and staff at work and wasn't exposed to information and training methods to help you do your job properly, but were still expected to meet your targets and do your job to the highest standard, do you think you'd be capable of doing so no matter how hard you worked? Your second paragraph is made up of your own assumptions on the scenario so will just let you sit with them. I think the difference in responses to the Kolli question last night was that Nourry's felt rehearsed and a controlled narrative that he's happy to be out there. Stephan's at least felt very honest and spoken from a place of care and passion. We will probably never get to hear Kolli's side, at least not until he leaves the Club. I'm still conflicted that it's as simple as what Nourry said and that there isn't way more political stuff to the full story, but it looks like off the record snarky comments by CN and canteen spats with BW will remain in LFW folklore until someone can verify them. I hope Stephan's sincerity is truthful and his door is really open, that Kolli meets the standards he demands, and isn't made to jump through any extra hoops to prove himself that others seemingly don't have to. I agree that there is nothing to say Kolli had an attitude problem. Nourry didn’t give a negative or positive opinion on Kolli, his answer was pretty factual. There are 2 sides to every story. The club have given theirs. We haven’t heard Kolli’s side yet. If true he was dug out publicly at the canteen by a senior member of staff (allegedly) then that would have legal repercussions I’m sure. You wouldn’t do that in any other work place. I’m sure one day we will hear what exactly happened. Does seem odd that Kone clearly came back unfit for the new season and has been allowed to play in games. You could see he didn’t look fit with how he was moving. Then we have Kolli in what it looks from the outside being treated differently. Clearly Kolli needs to knuckle down and earn his place but it does looks like consistency is not being applied to all the players. Still think Kolli is the best finisher of all our strikers. | | | |

It’s not just Taraabt. It’s a litany of flair players going back years. Eze also wouldn’t have made this squad, as based on his work rate alone, wouldn’t have hit the standards seemingly demanded and required. Ainsworth wouldn’t pick Willock for the same reason. Marti did and the rest is history. [Post edited 17 Sep 20:18]

Nourry didn’t give a negative or positive opinion on Kolli, his answer was pretty factual. But listen to what Stephan and Dunne said. That explains why Lloyd has been given a chance and Kolli hasn’t. Dunne didn't say anything in relation to Kolli, he was asked a different question. I've seen his answers be conflated with Nourry's and Stephan's alot but I don't deem them to be related. I have personally never said any exceptions need to be made for Kolli, I don't think anyone believes that. He needs to earn the right to play but how can he do that when he can't even train with the Squad? Whatever I think of his ability, I don't begrudge Alfie Lloyd (or Leon Scarlett) of their opportunities. If I had Lloyd's ability and got the opportunity to train with QPR I would run until I dropped too, but if I was Kolli and saw him and Bennie last season getting more opportunities I would be knocking on the Manager's door seeking answers. And I will continue to believe what I want, thanks for that!
